On the afternoon of January 17th, a delegation from Mondulkiri Province, led by Mr. Lun Sopheap, Deputy Governor of Mondulkiri, visited to celebrate the traditional Vietnamese New Year 2025.Chiều 17/1,

Welcoming the delegation were Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province Nguyen Thien Van; representatives from relevant departments, sectors, and agencies.

During the meeting, the Director of the Planning and Investment Department of Dak Lak Province provided information regarding the socio-economic development results of the province, as well as the direction for cooperation with the Kingdom of Cambodia in general and Mondulkiri Province in particular in the upcoming period.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, Nguyen Thien Van, delivered a speech at the working session.

Accordingly, in 2024, the socio-economic situation of the province is expected to continue developing. The gross social product is estimated to reach 63.356 trillion VND, an increase of 5.08%. Total social investment capital is projected to reach 36.99 trillion VND, an increase of 4.02%. Export turnover is expected to exceed 1.8 billion USD, an increase of 23.86%. The average income per capita is projected to be 73 million VND per person.

Mr. Lun Sopheap, Deputy Governor of Mondulkiri Province, extended New Year greetings to the leaders of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province.

Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, Nguyen Thien Van, affirmed the continuation of the traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and sustainable long-term partnership, emphasizing that with the efforts of all parties, the cooperation between Dak Lak Province and Mondulkiri Province has achieved encouraging results, contributing positively to strengthening and developing the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The Vice Chairman expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Lun Sopheap and the delegation for taking the valuable time to visit and extend Tet greetings to Dak Lak Province; he wished them and their families health, happiness, and success in the New Year.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Lun Sopheap congratulated Dak Lak Province on its achievements in 2024; he expressed appreciation for the respectful reception and the support that Dak Lak Province has extended to Mondulkiri Province. Mr. Lun Sopheap expressed his hope that the governments and people of Dak Lak and Mondulkiri Provinces would continue to consolidate and strengthen their solidarity and friendship, enhancing cooperation in various fields, especially in agriculture and trade in the coming time.
