A delegation from the Ethnic Council of the National Assembly and the Ethnic Committee of the Government visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings to the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station. (24/01/2025, 09:38)

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Year of the Snake 2025, on January 21, Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Council for Ethnic Affairs, along with Comrade Y Vinh Tor - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee of the Government and the working delegation, visited and extended New Year greetings to the officials and soldiers of the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station, Border Guard Command of Dak Lak Province.

Comrades Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam and Y Vinh Tor presented gifts to the officers and soldiers of the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station.

During the visit, representatives of the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station reported to the working delegation regarding the situation in the border area under their management, as well as highlighted achievements in performing their duties of managing and protecting national borders and ensuring that the officers and soldiers, as well as the local citizens, have a fulfilling Lunar New Year. Over the past time, the officers and soldiers of the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station have steadfastly protected the nation's territorial sovereignty and border security, frequently training for combat readiness; they have maintained good relations with the Cambodian border protection forces opposite in exchanging information and managing national border protection.

During the Lunar New Year 2025, the party committee and unit leadership ensured the prescribed New Year policies for the officers and soldiers. Additionally, the unit collaborated with local party committees, authorities, and stationed forces to care for the local citizens during the New Year. As a result, they prepared and distributed 1,000 bánh chưng (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), and offered 300 gift packages to families with contributions to the revolution, families with social welfare status, impoverished households, and children facing exceptionally difficult circumstances in the locality.

The working delegation also visited Border Marker No. 45.

Acknowledging and commending the achievements of the officers and soldiers of the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station, Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam expressed hope that the officers and soldiers would continue to promote those results, achieving many accomplishments in 2025, continuing to firmly protect the territorial sovereignty and national border security, while also replicating and disseminating many effective models and programs in economic and social development, and poverty alleviation.

The Chairman of the National Council for Ethnic Affairs emphasized that managing and protecting border sovereignty and national security is a vital and routine task of the entire Party, the entire populace, the armed forces, and the whole political system, aiming to establish peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developmental border regions. The Se Re Pok Border Guard Station needs to harness the collective strength of the people in protecting territorial sovereignty, so that each citizen becomes a living marker. Furthermore, the officers and soldiers of the unit must continue to assert their core and specialized roles in safeguarding territorial sovereignty and national border security.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Year of the Snake 2025, Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie  Kdam wished the officers and soldiers of the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station remain steadfast in protecting the borders, ensuring that spring joy is spread across all regions of the homeland, and strive to achieve many excellent accomplishments.

On the same day, the working delegation also paid tribute to the fallen heroes who sacrificed at the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station, visited the special national historical site at the ferry crossing over the Se Re Pok River, inspected the border markers, and extended New Year greetings to the residents of Krong Na and Ea Nuol communes in Buon Don district.
