On the morning of August 16th, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front held a conference to administer the Action Plan of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and its member organizations for the implemention of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, State President of Viet Nam, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh Prime Minister of Viet Nam, Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, Chairman of the National Assembly of Viet Nam, Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat, and leaders of central ministries, departments, and branches attended and directed the conference. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of Dak Lak Province, Mr. Y Bier Nie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dak Lak Province, Ms. H'Kim Hoa Byă, Head of the Commission for Mass Mobilization and Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province, and leaders of relevant departments and agencies attended the conference from Dak Lak Province.   

At the conference, delegates listened to the Report on the results of the research, study, mastery, and development of the Action Plan of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and its member organizations for the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam. In addition, they also listened to discussions and evaluations from member organizations and localities on the coordination between the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and the member organizations during the tenure of the 12th National Congress and the situation and results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.

The Viet Nam Fatherland Front and member organizations developed the Action Plan for the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam while Viet Nam focused on both the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic and socio-economic development, ensured social security, took care of people's livelihood, and prepared for and organized the election of delegates to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the tenure 2021-2026. In addition to the successful implementation of political tasks, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and member organizations connected the development and administration of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam with the administration of key tasks for each organization.

The Viet Nam Fatherland Front and member organizations will implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam with 6 key tasks. First, a joint action plan is proactively developed and its efficiency is improved. In addition, creativity in each organization is promoted to gather their members to successfully communicate with the people. Second, based on the provisions of the law, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and member organizations proactively develop joint working programs with the National Assembly, the Government, and the President that promptly institutionalize and concretize targets and tasks of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam for the people and members to implement. Third, the contents and methods of gathering the masses continue to be innovated. Expectations of members, voters, and the people are collected and transmitted to competent Party committees, authorities, and State agencies at all levels to handle so that people's expectations are met and society’s consensus is strengthened. Fourth, the implementation of supervision and social criticism is stepped up to contribute to the prevention of and fight against corruption, wastefulness, and negativity, and contribute opinions to make the Party and the State more and more powerful and transparent. Fifth, the organizational structure of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and member organizations continues to be innovated. The quality of their cadres continues to be improved. The contents and methods of their operation are innovated to focus on the grassroots in residential areas. Sixth, international solidarity is strengthened and activities of people-to-people diplomacy are expanded.

Speaking at the conference, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized that the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam is a particularly important political event of Viet Nam and has a sweeping influence on society and the future orientation of Viet Nam. The Resolutions and documents of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam are a combination of the intellect and creativity of the Party, people, and military of Viet Nam. These documents express major viewpoints, policies, and directions of the Party. They also show the vision and the strategic thinking of the Party, the development aspirations of the Vietnamese nation, and the political determination of the entire Party, people, and military of Viet Nam in the work of firmly building and defending the socialist Vietnamese nation, and successfully implementing the goal of rich people and a strong, democratic, equitable, and civilized nation. Therefore, the tasks of researching, studying, mastering and implementing of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam is necessary and important, and must be carried out seriously, resolutely, methodically and scientifically throughout the tenure.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong requested the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and the member organizations perform their role as the political core better and take responsibility for developing the great national unity bloc, encouraging the people to promote patriotic emulation movements, practicing democracy, and developing society’s consensus to successfully implement Viet Nam's political goals in the new period. "The Party leads, the State governs, the People master" must be the three solid pillars of building and defending the Vietnamese nation. The strengths and roles of all people and members must continue to be promoted to contribute to the successful implementation of Viet Nam’s socio-economic development goals. The people must be propagandized and informed about the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws to fully understand and implement them well. The Viet Nam Fatherland Front must be the nucleus in protecting the ideological foundation of the Party to prevent and fight against conspiracies and activities of "Peaceful Evolution" of hostile forces, and resolutely fight against false and reactionary viewpoints, political malcontents, and hostile ideology. The Viet Nam Fatherland Front must also strongly promote its pioneering role in ensuring the people's right to mastery and participate in making the Party and the State more and more powerful. Its mechanisms must continue to be perfected and its organization, contents and methods of operation must continue to be strengthened and renovated to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period. The leadership of the Party and the coordination of State agencies and organizations related to the activities of the Front must continue to be innovated and improved.
