On the morning of May 17, Buon Don District organized a conference to promote the "One Commune, One Product" (OCOP) program for 2024 and to announce the decision and award OCOP product certificates for 2023.
At the conference, attendees received an overview of the OCOP program for the 2021-2025 period, the criteria, and the evaluation and ranking process of the OCOP products. Additionally, they were guided on how to identify potential OCOP products, how to write product stories, develop business plans, prepare evaluation and ranking dossiers, learn about food safety in product development, and strategies for brand development and market orientation for OCOP products.

Awarding 3-star OCOP Product Certificates for 2023
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Nuoi, Vice Chairman of the Buon Don District People's Committee, emphasized the need for various departments, units, and commune People's Committees to strengthen the management and operational structure to support the OCOP program. He called for the combined efforts of political and social organizations to implement the program, enhance communication efforts, and support entities to actively participate in the program as per the annual plans. He also encouraged the maintenance and upgrading of OCOP product star ratings, and facilitating the participation of entities in programs to introduce, promote, and connect the supply and demand for OCOP products within the district.
At the conference, the Buon Don District People's Committee awarded recognition certificates to 4 products from 4 entities that achieved 3-star OCOP product status in 2023.
It is noted that the OCOP program has been implemented comprehensively and widely across Buon Don District, creating a strong spread. Over more than three years of implementation, Buon Don District now has 11 products recognized as 3-star OCOP products. These OCOP products have quickly established their position, helping entities increase product value, access the market more conveniently, thereby expanding production scale, and improving the income and living standards of local farmers.
