On the afternoon of June 28th, candidates entered the Mathematics exam, the second subject of the 2023 High School Graduation Examination. The exam duration was 90 minutes and it was conducted in a multiple-choice format. Many candidates expressed that they felt quite relaxed before the exam and had prepared thoroughly for the Graduation Examination, so they were confident in performing well in the Mathematics exam.

After the exam session, many candidates left feeling relaxed because this year's Mathematics exam was not difficult and was suitable for students. Its structure was similar to the illustrative exam provided by the Ministry of Education and Training beforehand. Candidate Nguyen Tien Dung from Buon Ma Thuot High School commented, "The Mathematics exam was manageable, not difficult, with the last 10 questions being somewhat challenging to classify the candidates. I performed quite well, and I predict that I will score around 9 points."

Sharing a similar sentiment about the Mathematics exam, candidate Le Ba Tai from Le Quy Don High School believes that the Math test was more challenging than the illustrative exam provided beforehand. The first 35 questions were manageable for students with average academic abilities, while the last 15 questions required a higher level of knowledge application. Personally, he was able to answer around 80% of the exam and is confident of achieving a score of 7 or above.

In the Mathematics exam session, there were 20,699 candidates who took the exam, accounting for 99.67% of the total 20,767 registered candidates. There were 68 absentees. Eight examination centers had 100% attendance, including Phan Boi Chau High School, Hai Ba Trung High School, Hung Vuong High School, Nguyen Cong Tru High School, Tran Quoc Toan High School, Chu Van An High School, Cao Ba Quat High School, and Le Duan High School. The Mathematics exam proceeded safely, orderly, and in accordance with regulations. There were no examination supervisors or candidates violating the exam rules, and no unusual incidents occurred.
Tomorrow (June 29th), in the morning session, candidates will take the Natural Sciences or Social Sciences exam, and in the afternoon, they will have the Foreign Language exam.
