Candidates evaluate the Mathematics exam of the High School Graduation Exam 2024 as suitable, with clear differentiation (04/07/2024, 10:04)

On the afternoon of June 27th, candidates in Dak Lak completed the second exam - the Mathematics exam of the High School Graduation Exam 2024.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee H’Yim Kdoh and Director of the Department of Education and Training Pham Dang Khoa encouraged the support team during the exam season.

At the end of the exam session, many candidates returned feeling relaxed because this year's Mathematics exam was not difficult, suitable for students, and structured similarly to previous illustrative exams issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. Candidate Nguyen Mai Uyen (student of Buon Ma Thuot High School) commented: "The Mathematics exam was appropriate, not too difficult, with some challenging questions towards the end to differentiate candidates. I did quite well and predict I will score above 7 points."

Sharing the same sentiment about the Mathematics exam, candidate Huynh Chi Dung (student of Buon Ma Thuot High School) said: "Due to thorough preparation and review beforehand, this year's Mathematics exam was relatively easy for me. I managed to complete 20 questions in the first 30 minutes, with the remaining questions gradually becoming more challenging. Many questions were aligned with the knowledge I had studied. I performed well and anticipate scoring around 9 points."

Assessing the Mathematics exam, Ms. Dinh Chau The Ngoc (Mathematics teacher at No Trang Long Boarding Ethnic Minority High School) believed that this year's Mathematics exam involved fewer applications compared to last year, with a focus on geometry. Questions 1 to 36 were gentler compared to last year, suitable for the students, while the later questions showed clear differentiation. The exam covered topics from the entire Grade 12 curriculum and included some Grade 11 knowledge. With this exam difficulty level, average students can score between 5-7 points.

Tomorrow (June 28th), candidates will take the Natural Sciences or Social Sciences exams in the morning, and the Foreign Language exam in the afternoon.
