Central Highlands Steering Committee works with Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee (05/12/2016, 11:30)
A working delegation of the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands (the Steering Committee) region, led by Mr. Dieu Kre – Member of Communist Party of Viet Nam’s Central Committee (CPVCC) cum Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee on November 30th worked with Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee on the socio-economic development, process of ensuring economic and defense, Party building work in Dak Lak province as well as its proposals and recommendation in order to report to the central government.
 
The meeting was attended by Mr. Eban Y Phu - Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong – Member of CPVCC cum Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vo Van Canh – Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; delegates of the Party Building Division, Provincial Party Committee Office, Provincial People’s Council Office, Provincial People’s Committee Office, relevant provincial departments and sectors.

As being reported at the meeting, Dak Lak has taken advantage of opportunities to overcome many difficulties and challenges and gradually gained considerable and important achievements as well as consolidated and strengthened national defense. In 2016, Dak Lak’s total social product was estimated at VND 44,571 billion with 7.5% of economic growth rate. Total state budget revenue achieved VND 4,100 billion, increasing by 6.6% against the same period in 2015. Poverty rate reduced 2.87% with about 26,500 employed labors. Export turnover reached USD 550 million, equaling to 80.9% of the annual plan, up 13.9% over the same period last year. Import turnover hits USD 16 million, over 60% of the annual plan.

Regarding to new rural construction, the province has achieved 1699/2888 criterias, accountedfor 58.8%, 113 higher than the end of 2015. Average is 11.18% of criteria/ commune, get over the end of 2015 0.74%. Up to now, there have been 13 communes ranking standard of new rural construction, and 20 communes in the end of 2016, making up 13.2% of the project.
 
Political security and social safety have been consolidated. 995 cases of social order violation (89.1%) were investigated, meanwhile, investigation percentage of case for serious and particularly serious crimes accounted for 91.8%. 2016 is continously tagged the 8th year of marked that road traffic accident decreases in all 3 criteria. Up to now, there have been 429 cases with 217 dead and 398 wounded (reached 2.28% of case, 5.65% of dead and 5.69% of wounded lower than the same in 2015). Party consolidation is constantly developed to ensure the plan. Counting to 31/10/2016, 3,175 new party members have been admitted, accountingfor 90.71% of the plan and increasing total number to 69,885 members.
 
At the meeting, the Provincial Party Committee reported some matters related to main point projects, such as railroad from Tuy Hoa – Phu Yen to the Central Highlands region, project of Central Highlands General Hospital, Complex of gymnastic and sport, East-West Road, improvement on national roads: 14C, 26, 27 and 29; policies for free emigrants, habitant resettlement in border communes, etc.
 
The province also suggested the Central Government to supply capital for irrigation works to prevent drought, and suggested the Steering Committee to submit the Central Government and related agencies to add bond capital in period of 2017-2020 due to working price adjustment. As for policies, the province suggested the central to: set up and strengthen investment promotion, issue special policy machanism for investment attraction, supportcapital for infrastructure in industry zone.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Dieu Kre highly appreciated the results of the province. He reminded solving problems related to ethnic minority, religion, dispute and complaint on land in Order to ensure political security; basing on conclusion of the central government and Prime Minister that related to the Central Highlands to carry out tasks of socio-economy development; arranging and transforming afforestation yards and plantation, forestry companies; paying attention to training, improving local staff especially who are ethnic minority. Moreover, he agreed with suggestion of the province and directed Office of steering board to collect contents to work with central government in next time.
