Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Office of State Administrative Agencies (05/09/2025, 09:03)

On the afternoon of August 28, the Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province held a solemn seminar and gathering to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Office of State Administrative Agencies (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).

Present at the event were officials including: Comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province; Comrade Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders and former leaders of the Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province over various periods; representatives from several departments, sectors, and related units, as well as civil servants, officials, and employees currently working at the Office of the People's Committee.

During the event, participants reflected on the glorious 80-year journey of the Office of State Administrative Agencies. Eighty years ago, on August 28, 1945, a significant milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation was marked when President Ho Chi Minh announced to the nation and the world the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to undertake a historic mission for the nation. This date also marks the birth of the office machinery that assists state administrative agencies.

The Chief of the Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, Ngo Dinh Thien, recounted the glorious 80-year journey of the Office.

To recognize this important event, in 2004, the Prime Minister decided to designate August 28 each year as the Traditional Day of the Office of State Administrative Agencies. This occasion serves as a time for the staff, civil servants, and employees of state administrative offices at all levels to reflect on the history of their construction and development, honoring the silent yet significant contributions of various collectives and individuals throughout the years. It also reaffirms their confidence and determination to continue and promote this tradition in the new era.

In his commemorative speech, Comrade Ngo Dinh Thien - Chief of the Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province emphasized that the 80-year journey of building and developing the Office of State Administrative Agencies is a glorious path, marking continuous growth linked to the struggle for national independence and the construction and defense of the homeland.

Throughout different historical periods, the Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province has consistently maintained its role as an advisory and synthesizing agency, directly serving the direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman, and the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee.

Notably, starting from July 1, 2025, in accordance with the resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces will merge into a new administrative unit called Dak Lak Province. Throughout their distinct historical paths, both the Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province and the Office of the People's Committee of Phu Yen Province have affirmed their roles as reliable advisory and synthesizing agencies for provincial governments. Generations of office staff have left their mark with their dedication, responsibility, and readiness to overcome challenges to complete their tasks. The team of civil servants, officials, and employees is increasingly well-trained, possessing professional expertise, and is committed and passionate about their work.

After the merger, the Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province will have a total of 12 departments and units under its management, including: General Department, Investment - Economic Department, Industry and Construction Department, Agriculture and Environment Department, Science and Education - Culture and Society Department, Internal Affairs Department, Foreign Affairs Department, Administration - Management Department, Citizen Reception Board, Provincial Public Administrative Service Center, Technology Center, and Provincial Electronic Information Portal.

Former leader of the Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, Ho Van Tien, shared his feelings at the seminar and gathering.

Deputy Head of the Industry and Construction Department, Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, Nguyen Thi Phuong Yen, expressed the views of the younger generation of the Office of the People's Committee.

With the results achieved, many collectives and individuals from the Office of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province have been recognized and rewarded by competent authorities. In the period from 2020 to 2025, the collective of the Office has been awarded 12 certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee; 6 certificates of merit from central ministries and sectors; and 1 certificate of merit from the Prime Minister. Each department and unit is annually recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as an Excellent Labor Collective and awarded certificates of merit; many officials, civil servants, and employees have also been honored by various authorities.

Looking ahead to a new phase, the Office of the People’s Committee of Dak Lak Province is committed to upholding the 80-year tradition of the state administrative office system. The Office will continue to foster training, innovation, and excellence in advisory, administrative, and management work, with strong emphasis on digital transformation. It aims to build a more professional, modern, and effective institution, contributing together with the Party Committee, government, and people to drive Dak Lak towards rapid and sustainable development.

Speaking at the anniversary ceremony, Comrade Truong Cong Thai, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, urged the collective of the Office to continue to uphold the beautiful and glorious traditions of the Office through the ages to overcome all difficulties and challenges, constantly innovate thinking, act decisively, and confidently, self-reliantly, and self-strengthening alongside the nation in striving to successfully implement the two strategic goals set forth in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

Each official, civil servant, employee, and worker in the Office of the People's Committee, as well as the provincial state administrative system, should raise their sense of responsibility, wholeheartedly serving the country and the people; act decisively; practice what they preach; towards the people and businesses: "do not say no, do not say difficult, do not say yes without doing"; towards work: dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common good.

The Office focuses on advising and effectively implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthrough development in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, as well as the programs and plans of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee; continue to promote the application of science, technology, digital transformation, innovation, and creativity in the direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee and the Office; promote the ownership rights of officials, civil servants, and employees, and fight against bureaucracy, corruption, waste, harassment, and other negative manifestations. At the same time, care for the material and spiritual life, and improve the working conditions of officials, civil servants, and employees. Foster internal solidarity, uphold the spirit of revolutionary vigilance, combat the "peaceful evolution" schemes of hostile forces, safeguard national secrets, protect internal political security, and protect state property and that of agencies and units.

The leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office awarded the "For the Government Office's Mission" commemorative medal to individuals.

On this occasion, the Office of the People's Committee awarded the "For the Career of the Government Office" commemorative medal to 44 officials, civil servants, and employees of the Office of the People's Committee who have made significant contributions to the development of the Government Office.
