Connecting Trade between Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak Provinces (10/06/2024, 08:15)

More than 67 enterprises from Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces were provided with the opportunity to meet, seek cooperation opportunities, engage in production and business, and expand their market. On the morning of May 31st, in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa Province), the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa Province, in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak Province, organized a conference to connect trade with the aim of implementing the cooperation agreement for socio-economic development of the two provinces for the period of 2023 - 2025, with a vision towards 2030.

The program was attended by the leaders of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, the Department of Industry and Trade, as well as businesses exhibiting and introducing products from both provinces.

Mr. Le Huu Hoang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, delivered the opening speech at the conference on trade connection.

At the conference, the two units provided an overview of the production of goods, market demands, and strengths of the industry and trade sectors of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces. Enterprises, cooperatives, and individual business households producing typical local products, rural industrial products, and OCOP products exchanged views on cooperation needs and market expansion.

In his opening speech, Mr. Le Huu Hoang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, expressed his desire for enterprises from both provinces to proactively share, connect, and cooperate with each other for mutual development. The People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province will instruct provincial agencies to continue coordinating and effectively implementing activities to promote trade, investment, production, business, and market expansion; paying attention to supporting and creating the most favorable conditions for enterprises from Dak Lak Province investing, producing, and doing business in Khanh Hoa Province.

"The Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa Province will further tighten cooperation with the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak Province in trade promotion and trade connection, ensuring the full implementation of the contents of the Agreement between the two provinces, ensuring effectiveness, and promoting the development of production and business among enterprises, contributing to the socio-economic development of both localities," Mr. Hoang suggested.

Sharing at the conference, Mr. Luu Van Khoi, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, emphasized that Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces have signed a cooperation agreement for socio-economic development for the period of 2023 - 2025, with a vision towards 2030, focusing on six main areas: Cooperation in agriculture; investment promotion, trade, services; tourism; transportation; health, education and training, labor and employment; security, defense. This is a solid milestone and premise for cooperation; thereby, it will help the two localities maximize their potentials, strengths, and specific characteristics to promote comprehensive growth, including cooperation in trade promotion.

The Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak Province hopes that this event will be an effective bridge for the industry and trade sector and enterprises to meet, connect, introduce, and promote the potential of commercial development, especially unique products and services with strengths. Thereby, it will enhance connectivity and exchange in cooperation between the two localities, between associations and production enterprises with distribution systems and commercial enterprises in the context of deep international integration.

30 Dak Lak enterprises participate in introducing and promoting trade with Khanh Hoa Province

Ms. Phan Thi Thu Cuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa Province, informed that there are currently 8 large general supermarkets operated by retail businesses on the province's territory, allowed to purchase 30-40% of goods from the province and region, which is a significant condition helping production facilities and enterprises connect and place their products on the supermarket shelves.

Ms. Cuc also stated that enterprises need to further improve their trade connection activities, enhance production capacity, and product quality to achieve the highest business efficiency.

According to the assessment at the conference, Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa are two provinces endowed with natural conditions and different advantages, which have provided important favorable conditions for the two provinces to complement each other in cooperation and development.

Signing of cooperations agreements

On the other hand, Khanh Hoa Province is located in the South Central Coast region, with abundant agricultural and seafood products. Fresh, frozen, and processed seafood products from Khanh Hoa are highly favored in the market. As a gateway to the sea, with many deep-water seaports, convenient network of road and railway transportation; with an international airport gathering many potentials, advantages for breakthrough development.

Mr. Hoang Danh Huu, Director of EDE Farming Co., Ltd. (Dak Lak), introduced the trade connection plan in Dak Lak. Along with that is the expressway project Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot, which, upon completion and operation, will significantly contribute to promoting cooperation and trade between provinces in the Central Highlands in general, and Dak Lak in particular, with Khanh Hoa being more advantageous.

On this occasion, enterprises from Khanh Hoa Province and Dak Lak Province have signed 16 memoranda of cooperation to promote and consume products.
