Dak Lak Border Guard organizes various activities to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh's Birthday (28/05/2024, 10:39)

Over 2 days (May 16th and 17th), units within the Dak Lak Border Guard organized many meaningful activities to celebrate the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024) and the 49th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Dak Lak Border Guard (May 23, 1975 - May 23, 2024).

In Buon Ma Thuot City, the Party Committee and the Command of the Dak Lak Border Guard organized a wreath-laying ceremony for President Ho Chi Minh at the Uncle Ho monument with border guards. With sincere reverence and endless gratitude for President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions, officers and soldiers of the Dak Lak Border Guard respectfully offered fresh flowers, recalling His admonitions and instructions to the border guard forces, and reported their unit's achievements, demonstrating their determination to continue promoting traditions, worthy of being the specialized force in managing and firmly protecting national sovereignty, and border security.

In Ea Bung commune, Ea Sup district, the Yok M’Bre Border Post organized a storytelling contest about the ideology, morality, and style of President Ho Chi Minh. The contest had 6 contestants representing teams from the Border Post. The stories revolved around the exemplary ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh, discussing his simple lifestyle, patriotic love, and anecdotes about His instructions and admonitions to the military and border guard forces... At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First prize, 1 Second prize, 1 Third prize, and 3 Encouragement prizes to contestants with achievements in the contest.

On this occasion, Border Posts and Training and Mobilization Battalions also organized activities such as offering incense, laying flowers to commemorate Uncle Ho and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed in the construction and defense of the national borders. At the same time, they organized the "Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho" Tree Planting Day with over 1000 trees planted around offices, units, and military camps.
