Dak Lak honors “Sons of mountains” (06/09/2016, 22:21)
In the evening of September 1st, Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a gala “sons of the mountains” to mark the 71st anniversary of August Revolution and the National Day (September 2nd) as well as honor three Ede artists including: People’s Artist, Meritorious Artist and Folk Artisan living in Dak Lak province.  Attending the event were Mr. Eban Y Phu – Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Pham Minh Tan – Deputy Permanent Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Y Bier Nie – Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, leaders of Departments, sectors as well as artists and people in the whole province.

At the event, leaders of Dak Lak province handed over the certificate of Meritorious Artist to family of artisan Y Nuh Nie who had contributed to preserving and promoting volumes of epics of the Ede people. He spent 45 years on performing the epics and teaching them to many Ede young generations.

On this occasion, the People’s Committee of Dak Lak province has also honored Folk Artisan Y San Alio and Meritorious Artist Y Joel Knul.
