The Provincial People's Committee and Tay Nguyen University signed a cooperation agreement on training, research and science and technology transfer for the period of 2021 – 2025 on the afternoon of December 24.

The signing ceremony saw the presence of Vice Chairwoman of Provincial People's Committee H'Yim Kdoh and representatives from relevant departments and branches, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Truc - Rector of Tay Nguyen University; members of the School Board, School Council.
Provincial People's Committee and Tay Nguyen University agreed to cooperate in training; scientific research and technology transfer and some other fields.

At the event

The objective of cooperation agreement is to effectively exploit the potentials and strengths of each party to jointly solve problems in training high-quality human resources, making use of school’s strength and meeting the province’s demand. The two sides will coordinate in scientific research and technology transfer in order to develop key and specific products of Dak Lak and the Central Highlands, and efficiently use existing resources in the context of climate change; exploit and promote the potential advantages of Dak Lak in scientific research, technology transfer, development of Science and Technology services, care for people's lives and health and contribute to cultural preservation of the Central Highlands ethnic groups.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman of Provincial People's Committee H’Yim Kdoh stressed that Dak Lak province attaches a special importance to science and technology. On the basis of cooperation agreement, she suggested the two sides should focus on human resource training, scientific research, and technology transfer focusing aiming to improving production efficiency, product value; coordinate implementation of startup consultancy and training activities ...

For his part, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Truc - Rector of Tay Nguyen University said that the university is offering 36 undergraduate courses and 12 postgraduate courses in economics, health, agro forestry, pedagogy, political theory, animal husbandry, and environment. Dak Lak province alone has over 4,000 students studying at Tay Nguyen University, accounting for about 50% of the total students of the university.

Located in Dak Lak province, Tay Nguyen University has determined that participation in training, research and science and technology transfer to the locality is a political task of the university. Over the past time, Tay Nguyen University has achieved many positive results in training, scientific and technological research. Many scientific and technological topics and products have been applied in practice with high economic efficiency. Following the direction of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, as well as the content of the cooperation agreement with the Provincial People's Committee, Tay Nguyen University plans to invest in training in tourism, software technology, logistics.

The two sides agreed Tay Nguyen University will continue to work directly with relevant departments and branches to concretize and implement cooperation contents after signing the cooperation agreement.
