However, participants said at the conference that there were difficulties in controlling of anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods because of the shortage of inspection force. Violators were becoming more sophisticated to avoid the inspection of competent authorities. Additionally, people have mercenary psychology; prefer foreign products, lack of knowledge about law. These create favourable conditions for the existence of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods. Departments and sectors proposed the provincial Steering Committee 389 to check up violation cases. Agricultural sector should carry out more inspection of items which make impact on agricultural production in the province, equip more facilities serving inspection, and tighten the control of petrol stations and transportation across the province.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Pham Thai – Director of Department of Industry and Trade, Permanent Deputy Head of the provincial Steering Committee 389 highly spoke of efforts of relevant authorities and coordination with interbranch delegation in combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods. Aiming to achieve good results in the 4th quarter of this year, the provincial Steering Committee 389 suggested that assistance team should review data exactly, analyze the situation, and propose solutions to improve professional skills of inspection. Moreover, sectors implement Directive No.02/2016-CT-UBND of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee dated May 11th, 2016 on reviewing management of fertilizer business activities in the province, strengthen dissemination, build up reliable sources of information to detect violators and achieve high efficiency in inspection work.
