Over the past 10 years, the implementation of Directive No. 40-CT/TW dated November 22, 2014, by the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over social policy credit activities has brought significant changes to the credit policy landscape in M'Drak district. The organizational model and management methods have been adapted to local realities, mobilizing many resources and creating an economic "leverage" for poor households and other policy beneficiaries in the area.
To ensure that social policy credit activities serve as a crucial tool for socio-economic development, especially focusing resources on effectively implementing the three national target programs for the 2021-2025 period on building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in M'Drak district, the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee have always paid attention and created all conditions for the operation of the Social Policy Bank in the area, contributing to accelerating lending programs to beneficiaries.

Annually, the district balances and allocates capital to the Transaction Office of the District Social Policy Bank to supplement loan resources. To date, the district's capital has reached over 22 billion VND, raising the total outstanding loan balance through 16 local credit policy programs to over 605.8 billion VND. This has facilitated loans for 13,876 poor households and other policy beneficiaries. Among these, 4,432 poor households have been helped, nearly 1,000 jobs have been created, more than 300 disadvantaged students have received loans for education and purchasing study equipment, over 2,400 clean water and rural sanitation projects have been built, and nearly 500 houses have been constructed for homeless poor households. The M'Drak District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office is currently among the top units in the province in terms of total outstanding loan balance, with an average of over 37.4 billion VND per commune, the highest in the province. The average annual loan turnover reaches 64 billion VND.
Thanks to the production loans, many households in M'Drak district have escaped poverty, contributing significantly to poverty alleviation efforts. During the 2020-2023 period, the district's annual average poverty rate decreased by 5.4% (the M'Drak District Party Committee's Resolution for the 2020-2025 term set a target of reducing poverty by 3-3.5%); the poverty rate among ethnic minorities decreased by 5.6%. In 2023 alone, the entire district reduced 1,476 poor households and 502 near-poor households.
