In the situation of COVID-19, the local industry and trade authority has actively built suitable plans supporting enterprises and farming households by enhancing the consumption of farm produce via the digital environment.

Dak Lak enterprises take part in an online program on connecting farm producers

Mr. Huynh Ngoc Duong, Vice Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, stated that in order to maintain the effectiveness of business operations, several enterprises in the Province have actively enhanced their online trade operations. The local industry and trade authority has been supporting enterprises, co-operatives, and farming households in broadening e-commerce consumption of farm produce.

Recently, Dak Lak Avocado has had sales at “The Vietnamese farm produce e-market” on the Sen Do e-commerce platform. This is within the cooperative program between the Viet Nam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities to connect online to sell the products nationwide. In the future, the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak Province will make an effort to put other farm products from the Province  into the digital environment.

For farm produce to be consumed well in the situation of COVID-19 with attractive prices, it is necessary to accompany enterprises and farmers in changing their minds in production and sales, and help them gradually get acquainted with digital technology applications. By the end of July, the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak Province will cooperate with the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade to hold an online program on trade connection. This is the first time this activity will be organized online connecting enterprises of the two localities in sharing commercial cooperation, establishing trade relationships, and enhancing the consumption of the Province’s specialties as stated by the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade.
