For three days (from May 17 to 19), the Central Highlands General Hospital, in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Blindness Prevention Association (APBA), conducted free cataract surgeries for nearly 200 patients in Dak Lak Province.

Performing free cataract surgeries for patients in difficult circumstances.
According to Dr. Ngo Van Cuong, Head of the Ophthalmology Department at the Central Highlands General Hospital, the free eye exam and surgery initiative is a charitable program by APBA. This program, involving experienced doctors, has been held in Dak Lak Province for many years and has restored vision for hundreds of poor patients. In addition to free eye surgeries, patients also received meal support, medication distribution, consultation, and guidance on proper post-surgery eye care.

The program of free cataract surgeries for residents is a practical and profoundly humanitarian activity, helping patients in difficult circumstances with cataracts regain their vision, reintegrate into the community, and reduce the financial burden of medical expenses. This contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of healthcare for the local population.
