On the afternoon of June 1st, the People's Committee of Ea H’Leo District, in collaboration with the Dak Lak Charity Association, organized the opening ceremony of free swimming classes and water safety skills training for disadvantaged children in Ea Hiao Commune.

Children receiving swimming lessons.

The free swimming classes in Ea Hiao Commune have registered 180 children, who have been divided into small groups for their lessons. Over the course of 15 days, the children will be taught basic swimming knowledge and skills, such as getting familiar with water, practicing jumping into the water, learning proper breathing techniques, the basics of breaststroke and backstroke, as well as handling victims of cramps, quickly responding to drowning situations, and providing first aid to drowning victims.

In recent years, the incidence of drowning accidents among children in the district has been quite complex, especially during the summer in remote villages and ethnic minority areas. Therefore, organizing free swimming classes for disadvantaged children during the summer is a meaningful and practical activity. It helps children improve their health, acquire essential water safety skills, and contributes to reducing drowning accidents in the area.
