Government Religious Affairs Board Guides Protestant Activities in Accordance with Legal Regulations in Dak Lak (28/05/2024, 10:29)

On May 20th, in Buon Ma Thuot City, the Government Religious Affairs Board organized the opening session of a conference to guide Protestant activities in accordance with legal regulations in Dak Lak province.

Attending the opening were Ms. Thieu Thi Huong - Head of the Protestant Department - Government Religious Affairs Board; Mr. Hoang Manh Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, and over 380 delegates including officials, professionals, and personnel responsible for groups under the Vietnam Evangelical Alliance in Dak Lak province.

Over two days, the conference will focus on disseminating, propagating, and guiding the content regarding the Party's policies, state laws on beliefs, religions; conveying Decree No. 95/2023/NĐ-CP dated December 29, 2023 of the Government detailing some articles and measures for implementing the Law on Beliefs and Religions; amending some articles of the Land Law, the Housing Law...

In her opening speech, Ms. Thieu Thi Huong - Head of the Protestant Department - Government Religious Affairs Board stated that with the cooperation of local authorities, Protestant communities in Dak Lak have always had a tradition of solidarity, effectively implementing socio-economic development programs, striving for collective progress, and participating in the construction and defense of the homeland.

Through the conference, officials and professionals will be informed of the latest directions of activities of the Southern Evangelical Church; exchanging views on the organization and implementation of legal regulations regarding laws on beliefs, religions, and discussing the difficulties of branches, groups... in implementing religious policies at the grassroots level.

It is proposed that officials and professionals absorb the topics, actively disseminate, guide, and explain to believers to comply with legal regulations, while proactively coordinating with authorities at all levels in the process of religious activities at the local level to contribute to the fight against and prevention of infiltration and attraction activities of organizations violating the law, sabotaging the national unity bloc.
