Information and Communications Ministry holding ceremony to grant communication means to Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Gia Lai (09/03/2016, 14:24)

In the afternoon of March 5, Ministry of Information and Communications held a ceremony to grant communication means in Buon Ma Thuot City. It was implemented under the National Target Program on making information accessible to residents of mountainous and remote areas, border communities and islands in the Central Highlands provinces of Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Truong Minh Tuan – member of Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; representatives of the Central Highlands Steering Committee, Management Board of the National Target Program, and Provincial Departments of Information and Communications of the three Central Highlands provinces. Dak Lak’s representative was Vice Chairman of PPC Nguyen Tuan Ha.

Overview of the Ceremony

According to the Program, communication means were granted to three provinces including 16 equipments such as compressors, speakers with two frequency response, mixers, micro, amplifiers, and other auxiliary equipments with total value of 711 million dong.

Addressing at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan emphasized that making information accessible to residents of localities was a policy of the Party and State performed by the effort of both MIC and localities. Thus, the Deputy Minister wishes that the localities shall use these invested communication means in a long, safe, and effective way to well-serve for propaganda activities on the Resolutions of Party Congress, the elections for deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Council at all levels for 2016 – 2021 tenure as well as the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies to residents, local Parties and governments. Hopefully, these equipments will meet demand of updating information, narrowing the gap of information among areas, contributing to the promotion of socio- economic development and safeguarding the defense and security in the Central Highlands. As a governing agency, MIC will equip other units to motivate the Central Highlands to update information as well as actively making decisions to build a more prosperous Central Highlands.

On behalf of Dak Lak’s PPC, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha expressed his thanks to MIC’s attention for Dak Lak and other Central Highlands’ provinces and pledged for effectively using the equipments for purpose. It is known that this is the second time Dak Lak province is handed over equipments by MIC. According to the plan, these equipments shall be used and managed by the automatic information team of Krong Bong district.
