Mr. Truong Hoai Anh, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, speaking at the training course inauguration.
In his opening remarks, Director Truong Hoai Anh noted that both globally and in Vietnam, there is an ongoing effort to build a comprehensive "digital ecosystem," encompassing the digital economy, digital entertainment, digital social welfare, digital education, and digital labor. Concurrently, cybercriminals are targeting components of this ecosystem. Traditional response methods and defensive techniques for ensuring information security are becoming ineffective as malware grows increasingly sophisticated, now enhanced with AI technology, making it more adept at hiding and operating within the interconnected world of the Internet of Things. This poses a significant challenge for information security today.

Ensuring information security heavily depends on the awareness of end-users, especially the leadership and management teams in state agencies. Therefore, the Department of Information and Communications organized this training course to help leaders and managers understand the importance of information security in the current context. This understanding aims to ensure a consistent strategic approach in handling situations and making decisions at the leadership and management level regarding information security issues.
The "Information Security for Leaders and Managers" training course focuses on providing an overview of information security and helping participants understand its importance in today's context. It also analyzes the fundamental aspects of information safety and security. Furthermore, it aims to equip leaders and managers with a consistent strategic perspective in handling situations and making decisions on information security issues, maintaining and ensuring information security across the entire agency or organization.
