On the afternoon of Friday (03rd April), the delegation of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control led by Dr. Nay Phi La – Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, supervised Covid-19 prevention and control in Buon Ho town.

On the occasion, the delegation actually inspected Covid-19 prevention and control as well as the supervision of people coming from infected areas in Thong Nhat ward and Buon Ho’s General Hospital. Thereby, the delegation noted that the locality should strengthen the participation of the whole political system in Covid-19 containment; therefore early defecting people coming from any area that has experienced a Covid-19 outbreak to declare medical status, quarantine for health monitoring and timely prevent the risk of community spread of Covid-19 epidemic. Simultaneously, the delegation asked to boost the communication activities on Covid-19 prevention and control in the locality, especially through visual communication such as leaflets, posters, etc... to guide the local people on infection prevention measures.

According to the report of Buon Ho’s Health Centre, up to 03rd April, Buon Ho town has not recorded any Covid-19 cases yet, but quarantined 24 cases who returned from epidemic areas, contacted and closely contacted with people had contacted patients, including 18 cases completing a mandatory 14-day quarantine and 6 cases being under surveillance.

It is said that the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control issued Plan No. 23/KH-BCĐ on forming two provincial level delegations on inspecting the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic in some localities, agencies and units in the area of Dak Lak province.

According to the Plan, the delegation will further inspect directions and orientations to the containment of Covid-19 epidemic in other localities, agencies and units. During which, the delegation will focus on checking the weakness and the radio system at grassroots levels; inspecting the actual preparation of response plans for the epidemic in apartment buildings, accommodations, supermarkets, religious facilities, sponsoring facilities....; carrying out actual inspections of quarantine zones at health facilities and establishments expected to be quarantine areas of the city, towns and districts (if any), at the same time evaluating the effectiveness of facilities having quarantined cases and the immediate capacity of localities, agencies and units to respond to Covid-19.
