In 2024, the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province signed three new international agreements with the provincial government of Mondulkiri (Cambodia), the provincial government of Orkhon (Mongolia), and the municipal government of Nevers (France). These agreements not only expand opportunities for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism, health care, and culture but also strengthen friendly relations, establishing a solid foundation for sustainable cooperative development.

Notably, Dak Lak Province has implemented 14 active international agreements with partners from various countries, including provinces in southern Laos and partners from South Korea and Australia. Collaborative activities in 2024 have yielded impressive results, such as the organization of a working delegation participating in an international exhibition on fermented foods in Jeonju (South Korea), which involved eight businesses and the Department of Industry and Trade of the province.

In cooperation efforts with Cambodia, Dak Lak successfully organized cultural exchange programs, including hosting a delegation from Mondulkiri to celebrate the Lunar New Year in Vietnam and holding the "Friendship Song" program in Mondulkiri. The province notably provided 150 million VND to support social welfare activities in Mondulkiri and maintained close relations with border districts, distributing gifts to local residents and armed forces.

Additionally, the province has actively collaborated with southern Lao provinces, supporting eight Lao students studying at Tay Nguyen University and facilitating the education of 273 Lao students at Tay Nguyen Ethnic Boarding High School. These activities not only enhance the quality of education but also strengthen solidarity between Dak Lak and the southern Lao provinces.

The agreement with South Korea has enabled Dak Lak Province to participate in an automotive technology training program in Jeonbuk, opening job opportunities for many young workers in the locality. Furthermore, in 2024, over 216 workers from Ea Sup district were sent to work in Iksan, South Korea. This is a clear testament to the success of labor cooperation agreements, with no cases of worker desertion recorded throughout 2024.

With its Australian partners, Dak Lak has launched entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives by collaborating with CSIRO, organizing entrepreneurship training courses, and participating in innovation competitions such as SV-Startup 2024. These results have facilitated the growth of the startup ecosystem in Dak Lak, creating job opportunities and contributing to the province's economic development.

During a working trip to Nevers, France, from December 9 to 13, 2024, the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province signed a memorandum of understanding with the city of Nevers regarding cultural exchange programs and technology transfer in the fields of healthcare, urban management, and agriculture. During this visit, the Department of Health of Dak Lak Province also signed a cooperation agreement with Nevers City Hospital to enhance the capacity of the province's medical staff in hematology, cardiology, and oncology.

These international relationships not only contribute to economic development but also help Dak Lak become a sustainable province with a high-quality living and working environment.
