On May 18, the Dak Lak Provincial Cultural Center, in collaboration with Tay Nguyen University, hosted the second session of the Introduction and Promotion of Musical Works for 2024.
This program is a meaningful and practical activity aimed at effectively implementing the cooperation agreement on scientific research, training, and various cultural, sports, and tourism activities between the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and Tay Nguyen University for the 2021-2025 period.

Special Musical Performances at the Program
At the event, members of clubs from the Dak Lak Provincial Cultural Center and students from Tay Nguyen University presented outstanding musical performances in celebration of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024) and introduced the musical works of composer La Cong.
Born in 1981, La Cong currently works at the Dak Lak College of Culture and Arts. He has composed numerous pieces about various regions across the country. For Dak Lak specifically, he has created around 10 songs, including "Ve voi Tay Nguyen," "Giot nang Ban Me," and "Oi Ban Me."
During the program, La Cong engaged with the audience, sharing insights about his musical career, his inspiration for composing, and his future creative directions.

Ms. Dao Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the Provincial Cultural Center, presents flowers to congratulate the composer.
The program aims to introduce and promote musical works, including new compositions and high-quality pieces by composers within and beyond the province. It encourages creativity among composers in their artistic endeavors to produce new music reflecting contemporary life in the Central Highlands of Dak Lak. Additionally, the event provides music enthusiasts with the opportunity to directly meet and interact with artists, gaining a deeper understanding of the creative process.

Since its inception in July 2022, the Introduction and Promotion of Musical Works program, organized by the Provincial Cultural Center, has completed eight sessions. It has introduced 67 new or award-winning musical pieces from within and outside the province and facilitated interactions between the audience and one Meritorious Artist, seven composers, and seven authors.
