On December 08th, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee cum Head of the provincial Council on awarding the title of "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" in the field of intangible cultural heritage (the Council) presided over the meeting of the Council for the second round of award in 2018.

At the meeting, the delegates discussed and commented on 27 typical profiles of outstanding artisans who were proposed to consider awarding the title of "Meritorious Artisan".
Accordingly, the artisans who are considered for this time have appropriate standards in accordance with the law, have good moral qualities, lead an exemplary life, have an enthusiasm for their work, and earn respect from colleagues and the people. In addition, they have outstanding achievements in the collection, performance, teaching and promotion of intangible cultural heritage of the localities.

After selecting and voting, the Council agreed to select 24 oustanding artisans for inclusion in the dossier and submit it to the specialized Council at Ministerial Level for recognition of the title of "Meritorious Artisan" in 2018, including: Y Xuan Nie, Y Pul Arul, H’Lil Mlo (Buon Ho town), A Bloih, A Nol, Y Wang Hwing, Y Bruat Eban, Y Kut Nie (Cu M'gar district), Y Blor Kbuor, Y Blih Adrong, H’ San Eban, H Riu Hmok, H’Jui Eban (Krong Ana District), Y Toen Nie Kdam, Dieu K Lung, Y Khol Arol (Buon Don District), Chu Thi Hieu, Y Tai Kpor, Nong Thi Lim, To Thi Mem (Krong Pac district), Y Bhiông Nie (Buon Ma Thuot city), H'Blong Knul, Y Dlong Ebban (Krong Bong district), Y Dung Nie (Ea Kar district).

Conclusing the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee cum Head of the Council suggested that the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism should compile a list of selected artisans and submit their profiles to the provincial People's Committee for approval and sending them to the specialized Council at Ministerial Level for recognition before December 15th, 2017. He also suggested that the Department should the selection results should be informed to the artisans and posted on the Provincial E-Portal as soon as possible.
