On January 17, in Buon Ma Thuot City, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province organized the "Spring Homeland" Program to meet with overseas Vietnamese and their families on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Snake 2025.

Attending the meeting were Nguyen Tuan Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of relevant departments and sectors; alongside more than 100 overseas Vietnamese and their families residing in various countries and territories worldwide who returned to visit their families during the traditional Tet holiday.

In recent years, our overseas Vietnamese community has united and made concerted efforts to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and communities; furthermore, they have promoted the tradition of patriotism, solidarity, and connection with their roots, homeland, and country by taking specific actions towards the homeland, contributing intellect, effort, material resources, investing in production and business activities, supporting families, and actively participating in movements for gratitude, poverty alleviation, helping compatriots affected by natural disasters or fires, while ensuring social welfare.

In a warm and intimate atmosphere, Vice Chairman Nguyen Tuan Ha expressed his joy and warmly welcomed the overseas Vietnamese and their families returning to celebrate the traditional Tet holiday. He provided a brief overview of the achievements in socio-economic development and national defense secured in the province during 2024. He also acknowledged and sincerely thanked the positive contributions of overseas Vietnamese and their families to the country in general and to Dak Lak Province in particular.

The Vice Chairman emphasized that the achievements of the province reflect the tremendous strength of the spirit of national unity, laying a solid foundation that fosters trust, ignites patriotism, and instills national pride, thereby creating favorable conditions for the children of Vietnam to continue working together and confidently stride towards innovation.

Representatives of overseas Vietnamese and their families expressed surprise and joy at the profound changes observed upon returning to their homeland; they thanked the local leaders for their warm and respectful reception of the overseas Vietnamese community. This sentiment serves as motivation and confidence for overseas Vietnamese to fulfill their responsibilities, continuously looking towards the homeland and contributing to nation-building.

The leadership of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee spoke at the event, stating that meeting with overseas Vietnamese and their families on the occasion of the traditional Tet holiday is an annual activity aimed at arousing patriotism, fostering national pride, and preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Vietnamese community abroad; simultaneously, it provides a platform for listening to the thoughts and aspirations of overseas Vietnamese and their families to gather proposals and recommendations for the Party and State in order to develop policies and legal frameworks regarding Vietnamese citizens abroad that align with current circumstances.
