Nguyen Phuong Macadamia won the first prize in the 1st Dak Lak Start-up Contest, 2018 (25/10/2018, 22:21)

On the evening of October 12th, the final round and award ceremony of the 1st Dak Lak Start-up Contest was held at Daklak Cultural Center. This event was broadcast live on Dak Lak Radio and Television Broadcasting.

The opening ceremony included Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; the Board of Examiners, the contestants and a large number of people, enterprises to invest in and encourage the contestants. Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh - Alternate member of the Central Party Committee, Standing Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Board, made the opening remarks.

There were 31 projects in the fields of agriculture, trade in services, production and business. On the evening of October 12th, the Organizing Board selected 9 best projects to award prizes and 4 projects to participate in the ranking round to find the first prize.

The Macadamia Production Project of contestant Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong in Krong Nang district was highly appreciated on ideas of start-up, feasibility, presentation and excellently won the first prize. The second prize was awarded to the contestant Tran The Chau with the project of production chain of agricultural service cooperatives and output systems for products in Dak Lak province, applying e-commerce in production consumption. The third prize was co-awarded to contestant Nguyen Van Son with the project of Soursoptea production and contestant Bui Tuan Anh with the project of Smart clothes dryer.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Standing Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh said that this was the first time the province had held a startup contest; therefore, the Organizing Board did not have the expectation of calling for captial but set the goal of connecting, orienting and supporting start-up ideas and projects; contributing to lighting up the passion for the spirit of entrepreneurship; stimulating the spirit of dare to think, dare to be the master of life to get rich legally, and to build the richer and more beautiful homeland.
