On the afternoon of July 3rd, at Buon Ma Thuot Stadium (Dak Lak province), the Youth Newspaper and Children's Association, in collaboration with the Vietnam Football Federation and the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Dak Lak province, organized the opening ceremony of the National Junior Football Championship (U13) Finals - Yamaha Cup 2024.

The organizing committee presented commemorative flags to the teams.
The Finals featured the participation of 16 football teams, including: Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, The Cong Viettel, Quang Nam (Group A); Gia Dinh Club, Hanoi Club, Song Lam Nghe An, LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai (Group B); PVF – CAND, Haduwaco Hai Duong, Tay Ninh, Binh Dinh (Group C); Navy Phu Nhuan TP. Ho Chi Minh City, SHB Da Nang, Bac Giang, Can Tho (Group D). These teams had advanced from the qualifying rounds held from June 5th to 22nd in three regions: Northern region in Bac Giang province; Central region in Quang Nam province; Southern region in Binh Duong province.
Regarding the competition format in the finals, the 16 teams were divided into four small groups, with each group consisting of 4 teams. They played a round-robin format to determine the rankings within each group. The top 4 teams from each group advanced to the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals.

The U13 players from Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa performed the flag-raising ceremony before their match.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the match between the home team U13 Dak Lak and U13 Khanh Hoa took place. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, with prolonged rain for many hours, the young players from both teams played with great effort, delivering an exciting and thrilling match for the audience. At the end of the match, U13 Dak Lak won with a score of 2-1 against U13 Khanh Hoa.

Although the rain persisted throughout the match, both teams played with great effort, showcasing many beautiful moments for the audience.
Within the framework of the Finals, the Organizing Committee, in collaboration with Júbilo Iwata Football Club (Japan), organized two activities: a seminar to exchange experiences in training U13 football between Yamaha Cup and Júbilo Iwata; and the U13 Yamaha Cup football training program with coaches from Júbilo Iwata. These activities aim to contribute to the professionalism and quality improvement of the tournament, encouraging and developing outstanding football talents from the participating teams that have advanced to the Finals.
The tournament will continue until July 13th.
