On the afternoon of May 20th, the People's Committee of Lak District held the inauguration ceremony for the Lak District Information - Cultural - Tourism Support Desk.

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Representatives of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Lak District; leaders of local departments, unions, cooperatives, individuals with OCOP products and potential OCOP products; tourism service businesses, tour guides in the district.

The People's Committee of Lak District transferred the management of the Lak District Culture-Sports-Communication Center.

At the inauguration ceremony, the People's Committee of Lak District passed a decision to transfer the management and operation of the Lak District Information - Cultural - Tourism Support Desk to the Lak District Culture-Sports-Communication Center.

The Lak District Information - Cultural - Tourism Support Desk was built at the Cultural - Sports - Communication Center of the district with a total implementation cost of over 818 million dong, of which the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism allocated 300 million dong from the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030 (Phase I: from 2021 to 2025), and the remaining amount was counterpart funds from the Lak District People's Committee..

The People's Committee of Lak District stated that the Lak District Information - Cultural - Tourism Support Desk is currently displaying traditional artifacts of the M'nong people such as handicrafts from Yang Tao commune; the Pro gongs of M'nong forestry people; traditional costumes of the M'nong people; 4 district-level OCOP products such as carp; Hung Thinh swiftlet nests; Hoang Nguu tea; Thai Hai clean rice, and many other potential products...

The support Desk will provide people and tourists with information about the cultural history, prominent tourism events of Dak Lak, Lak District. Especially, it will introduce tourists to the scenic spots in the locality; provide useful publications for tourists such as maps, travel guides, newspapers, magazines, internet...; introduce OCOP products, local specialties, and supporting tourism products of Lak District, to timely provide information to tourists when visiting Lak District to resolve requests and suggestions from tourists.

Putting the Lak District Information - Cultural - Tourism Support Desk into operation will support the promotion of tourism, the typical traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities, and support tourism information in Lak District. From there, contribute to the successful implementation of Resolution 02 - NQ/HU, dated October 13, 2020, of the 15th Executive Committee of the Lak District Party Committee on "Focusing on mobilizing resources to build and develop Lak District into a key tourist area of Dak Lak province by 2030".
