Morning of August 10, Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong visited and presented gifts to No Trang Long Ethnic Boarding High School in the Central Highlands city of Buon Ma Thuot on the occasion of his business trip in Central Highlands provinces.

No Trang Long Ethnic Boarding High School was founded in 1976 with a specialized functions and tasks to provide education for ethnic minority students to create the human resources for Dak Lak province. After nearly 45 years of establishment and development, the School has overcome all difficulties and fulfilled its mission successfully. The School currently implements full day programme and organises educational activities in accordance with the actual conditions of the school and students.


....and presents gifts to the School

In addition to in-class learning programme, the School’s teachers manage and guide students for their self-study in the evening. Besides, the School has a canteen to ensure students’ nutritional needs, at the same time, the School has paid attention to improve the food, accommodation and study conditions for students by encouraging teachers participating in increasing production in the School’s area. Up to now, the School’s facilities have been gradually improved with one library, 28 classrooms, educational devices, etc. to meet the teaching and learning requirement. In the 2018-2019 academic year, the School had 545 students, of which ethnic minority students accounted for 95%. Always being one of the schools with the highest high school graduation rate in the province; No Trang Long’s high school graduation rate reached 100 percent in the past five academic years.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong praised the achievements that the School has recorded while urging No Trang Long’s staff, teachers and students to uphold their tradition, better perform the task of teaching and training teachers and educational staff, and strive to make the School a national standard high school in all aspects.

For the coming academic year, with the spirit of innovation in the Resolution No.29-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee, the whole education and training sector in general and the Education and Training sector of Dak Lak province in particular must positively innovate in order to meeting the needs of the people, catching up with the education of advanced countries.

In addition, the Politburo member shared on the losses experienced by local residents due to flooding and asked the Dak Lak authorities to quickly deal with consequences, help the local people stabilize their lives early, especially pay attention to investment in education and training, and ensure every student can go to school when the new academic year arrives.

On the occasion, Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong presented No Trang Long Ethnic Boarding High School with one TV set, three computers and scholarships worth VND100 million; Mr. Bui Van Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dak Lak province presented scholarships to 20 No Trang Long’s poor students overcoming difficulties worth VND20 million.
