During this visit, the Yangtze River Delta Coffee Association met with the leaders of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, Simexco Dak Lak Company, and Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association. They also conducted surveys at coffee processing plants and coffee-growing regions in some districts, including the production of specialty Robusta-Arabica coffee in Buon Ma Thuot City, Minudo Farm - Care (Aroco) Limited Liability Company, The Espresso Farm - a successful agricultural start-up that applies advanced technology in coffee processing, and V'Ori Company, to learn about Cada coffee plantation and the historical heritage of Vietnamese coffee. They also visited durian orchards and cold-drying durian processing plants of Coi Nguon Coffee Vietnam Company and proposed opportunities for cooperation in exporting durians and durian instant coffee.

Yangtze River Delta Coffee Association stated that this survey aimed to understand the market for green coffee bean exports, coffee growing regions in Dak Lak Province, the production and supply capacity of Vietnam's specialty coffee, the coffee processing, classification, packaging, and storage processes of businesses in Dak Lak. They also explored the production processes of instant coffee and freeze-dried coffee.

Mr. Trinh Duc Minh, Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association, mentioned that the Yangtze River Delta Coffee Association has established a representative office in Shanghai, attracting about 200 member businesses from 41 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Delta region. The goal is to seek opportunities for cooperation and bridge trade between Vietnamese and Chinese businesses.

Particularly, Lien Viet Xanh Vietnam Limited Liability Company, which specializes in supplying and exporting green coffee beans to the Chinese market, proactively connected with local partners. After the survey in the coffee growing and processing areas, the two entities discussed opportunities for cooperation regarding the supply of specialty coffee and coffee processing from Dak Lak businesses to the Chinese coffee market.

Currently, domestic coffee consumption in China is growing rapidly every year. Shanghai hosts a significant number of coffee shops and is home to some of the world's largest coffee brands. There are over 10,000 coffee shops currently operating. Thus, the Yangtze River Delta Coffee Association is seeking a stable and high-quality source of coffee beans in significant quantities. This presents a great opportunity for collaboration between the two parties.

Following an introduction to the province's specialty coffee development direction, the Yangtze River Delta Coffee Association proposed the establishment of a Vietnam Coffee Promotion Center in Shanghai to facilitate deeper cooperation and exchanges among businesses in the future.

Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association will continue discussions with relevant authorities to plan cooperation, promote Buon Ma Thuot coffee, and present a detailed survey and work plan soon, as emphasized by Mr. Trinh Duc Minh.
