On the morning of December 5, a delegation from the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, led by Ms. Susan Burns - U.S. Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, paid a courtesy visit and worked with the leadership of the Provincial People's Committee.

The delegation also had discussions with Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ms. H’Yim Kdoh, and representatives from relevant departments.

During the working session, the leaders of Dak Lak province and the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City expressed joy over the positive development of the bilateral relations between Vietnam and the U.S., especially since the establishment of comprehensive partnership in 2013, marking 28 years of diplomatic relations (1995-2023). The economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has continuously developed. Notably, the recent state visit of President Joe Biden in September 2023 has opened a new phase of cooperation, elevating the relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, cooperation, and sustainable development.
