On the morning of July 25th, the delegation of the Party Committee of Dak Lak Province led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected preparations for Field Hospital No.1 where COVID-19 patients will be treated at the dormitory of Dak Lak College of Pedagogy and the Province's concentrated isolation area at the dormitory of Tay Nguyen University.
Other members of the delegation included Ms. H'Kim Hoa Byă, Head of the Commission for Mass Mobilization and Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province, Ms. H'Yim Kdoh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

A leader of the Field Hospital reports to the delegation on preparations to put the Field Hospital into operation.
Reporting to the delegation, Doctor Nguyen Ngoc Thinh, Director of Field Hospital No.1 where COVID-19 patients will be treated, said that the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision on July 24th establishing a field hospital with 1,000 beds located in the dormitory of Dak Lak College of Pedagogy. By the morning of July 25th, activities of cleaning up and preparing mats, blankets, and pillows in all buildings and repairing damaged electrical and water systems were completed. 1 hematology analyzer, 1 biochemistry analyzer, 1 mobile X-ray machine, and some other equipment were brought from the Buon Ma Thuot City General Hospital and the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital. In the afternoon and all day July 26th, the Field Hospital would continue to repair and clean the dormitory to prepare an area for healthcare workers to rest after they finish their shifts in the treatment area. The Field Hospital would also request the Dak Lak Department of Health to send ambulances, ultrasound machines, electrocardiogram machines, and medication. In addition, healthcare workers would be guided through regulations of the Field Hospital and retrained on preventive procedures in care and treatment for COVID-19 patients. It is expected that the preparations will be completed by July 26th to start treating patients on July 27th.

Ms. H'Yim Kdoh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, delivers a speech at the meeting with leaders of Field Hospital No.1
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the Field Hospital's Board of Directors and specialized departments in their preparations to promptly put the Field Hospital into operation. He emphasized that the Field Hospital is an important step in the treatment process because if it performs well, the number of serious patients in the Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Disease and the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital will be greatly reduced. In order for the Field Hospital to operate effectively, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung requested that Board of Directors closely coordinate with relevant agencies such as the Department of Health, the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital, and military forces in operation. The Field Hospital should soon issue its operating regulations and rules for patients. It is necessary to specify that the Field Hospital is a treatment place for F0 patients without symptoms or with mild symptoms so the patients should have a high sense of providing self-care and self-service on the basis of the Field Hospital’s treatment guidelines. Security and order in the hospital must be ensured. Environmental sanitation and waste treatment, especially medical waste, must be ensured to avoid spreading diseases outside the Field Hospital. In addition, living and health conditions of the healthcare workers must also be ensured to avoid transmitting diseases from patients to healthcare workers. The Department of Health also needs to have strict regulations on transferring patients between medical facilities where COVID-19 patients are treated so that hospitals can be proactive in transferring patients whose conditions become more serious.
Regarding vehicles, medical equipment, and supplies for the Field Hospital, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung said that they will be temporarily brought from the Buon Ma Thuot City General Hospital and the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital. However, in case the Field Hospital operates for a long time, the Provincial People's Committee, especially the health system, needs to consider providing equipment and medication for the Field Hospital in accordance with the actual situation.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspects the preparations at the dormitory of Dak Lak College of Pedagogy
On the same morning, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee also inspected the preparations for the Province's concentrated isolation area with 300 beds located in the dormitory of Tay Nguyen University. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung said that the conditions were basically well prepared and ready to be put into operation. The agencies in charge should have a plan to manage people in the isolation area, ensure security and order, and raise people's awareness in the prevention of epidemics.
