On March 3, the 198th Special Forces Brigade organized a ceremony to kick off the training year of 2025, launching a peak emulation campaign in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the Reunification of the Country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Units held a parade to demonstrate their forces and express their determination to complete the training program and the peak emulation campaign.

Under the theme “Speedy and Victorious,” this event marks a significant political milestone signaling the beginning of a new training year, aimed at enhancing the comprehensive quality and combat strength of the 198th Special Forces Brigade. In 2025, the brigade will emphasize synchronized and specialized training with a modern approach, actively researching innovations in content, organization, and training methods to improve the training quality of the troops. Additionally, the brigade plans to ensure training for all personnel according to the established plans and programs, achieving 100% participation, with a goal of at least 75% of participants achieving good to excellent results; training new soldiers to maintain high standards from the first week and month; and ensuring that 100% of artillery evaluations meet good to excellent standards, with absolute safety.

Launching the peak emulation campaign in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the Reunification of the Country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), the brigade strives to effectively educate and promote awareness, responsibility, and determination among its officers and soldiers; excel in fulfilling political missions; and establish a disciplined and formal unit in strict compliance with laws and military regulations, while advancing military administrative reform and digital transformation. Furthermore, the brigade will actively participate in various patriotic emulation movements across different levels and sectors, implement effective policies for war veterans and families of martyrs, engage in outreach and support for those with merit to the revolution, and actively participate in efforts to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing.

Colonel Hoang Ngoc Thanh - Deputy Political Chief of the Special Forces Corps spoke at the ceremony. 

In his remarks at the ceremony, Colonel Hoang Ngoc Thanh commended the outstanding results achieved by The 198th Special Forces Brigade in recent times. He emphasized that to successfully complete the tasks set for 2025, the Brigade needs to continue to deeply grasp the political and military viewpoints and guidelines of the Party, enhance the quality of training for the period 2023 - 2030 and the following years; regularly innovate the thinking of the Party committees, commanders at all levels, and officers and soldiers regarding the tasks of training and combat readiness, meeting the requirements of national defense in the new situation; and simultaneously promote the emulation movement for decisive victories in 2025, high-profile emulation waves, and uphold the spirit of "daring, 5 determinations, 5 proactiveness, 3 non-negotiables", innovating broadly and comprehensively the training work. In addition, it is essential to maintain and enhance the leadership capacity of Party organizations; improve theoretical knowledge, practical capabilities, skills in combat operational planning and training organization, and unit discipline; build a unified and cohesive relationship within the entire unit, determined to excellently complete all assigned tasks; establish a comprehensive, exemplary, and model unit within the armed forces; strictly maintain combat readiness protocols, ensuring no surprises or complacency in any situation.

On this occasion, units within the Brigade signed an agreement for emulation in excellent training, high combat readiness, strict discipline, and absolute safety; simultaneously, the units performed a parade to demonstrate their strength and express their determination to complete the training program and high-profile emulation period.
