On October 4, the Party Executive Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City held its 22nd expanded conference.

In the first 9 months of 2024, the Party Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City has focused on leading and directing sectors, localities, and people to continue promoting the proactive, creative spirit and determination to implement tasks and solutions to promote economic development, successfully achieve economic and social development goals and tasks, and ensure national defense and security.

Accordingly, the economy and society have developed and grown relatively well; the total budget revenue reached 1,596 billion VND, achieving 79.6% of the estimate, an increase of 14.02% compared to the same period in 2023; the construction of new rural areas continues to receive attention and direction from the city and has achieved good results, with 5 out of 8 communes meeting the criteria for advanced new rural areas. The "One Commune, One Product" program has been effectively implemented with high results by all levels and sectors, with 33 OCOP products recognized. Urban planning, residential area planning, and adjustment of planning have been actively implemented. Urban management, environmental protection, public lighting, and tree care have been regularly maintained and ensured. The management of construction order in the area has been strengthened. There have been many advances in culture and society. The work of "Gratitude for Favor, Repayment for Kindness" and social security have been ensured. The work of Party building and building the political system has been well implemented, with 305 out of 485 Party members admitted in the first 9 months of 2024, reaching 62.8% of the plan.

At the conference, the delegates discussed and basically agreed with the content presented at the conference; at the same time, they clarified the achievements in the first 9 months of 2024, pointed out the difficulties, limitations, and proposed the content and solutions that need to be focused on leading and directing in the coming time.

In his concluding speech at the conference, Secretary of the Buon Ma Thuot City Party Committee, Tu Thai Giang emphasized that in the coming period, all levels, sectors, and localities should review and evaluate the implementation of targets and plans set out since the beginning of the year as well as for the entire term of 2020 - 2025, especially the targets that are likely to not be achieved, the targets that are achieved at a low level, and the tasks that are still delayed; continue to effectively implement the specific mechanisms and policies stipulated in Resolution No. 72/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly; coordinate with provincial agencies to implement key projects; continue to strengthen inspection and handling of violations of urban order, environmental sanitation; closely manage urban planning, construction, land, and regularly inspect and promptly handle cases of land use for improper purposes, unauthorized construction, violations of stream corridors, and illegal religious construction; improve the quality of comprehensive education and training; effectively implement cultural and social activities, physical education, and sports; effectively implement policies to ensure social security, job introduction, and support for capital borrowing for policy beneficiaries; focus on epidemic prevention and control during the transitional weather period, ensuring food safety and hygiene in the community...
