On July 4th, the Veterans Association of Buon Ma Thuot City organized the 7th "Exemplary Veteran" Competition Congress for the period 2019-2024.

Currently, the Veterans Association of Buon Ma Thuot City has 8,123 active members across 26 community-based associations in wards and communes. Over the past 5 years, the "Exemplary Veteran" movement of the city's Veterans Association has closely followed the practical situation and political tasks of the Association, the Party, and local authorities.

Delegates were sent to attend the 7th "Exemplary Veteran" Competition Congress of Dak Lak province for the period 2024-2029.

In response to the movements to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, the Association has mobilized contributions totaling over 750 million VND and nearly 900 days of labor to build 37 road segments; donated over 3,500m2 of land for public works; mobilized construction of the "Comradeship Fund" with nearly 800 million VND to support the construction of 5 houses for members, repair 13 houses, donate 3 breeding cows, and give 11 savings books...

The City's Veterans Association has been recognized as comprehensive and robust in 2020 and 2021, and awarded the Competition Flag by the Central Veterans Association of Vietnam for outstanding achievements in the "Exemplary Veteran" competition movement.

At the congress, delegates agreed on targets and launched the competition movement for the 2024-2029 period. Additionally, they shared successful practices and experiences in movements and campaigns within agencies, units, and localities, aiming to inspire and encourage members of the Veterans Association at all levels, officials, and members across the city to strive for progress.

In the future, the city's Veterans Association will continue to innovate its activities to attract member participation; utilize leadership and guidance from the Party committee, support from the government, and actively coordinate with sectors and organizations to enhance creativity in fulfilling assigned political tasks; maintain, develop, and improve the quality of movement activities and exemplary models implemented effectively by the Association...

The congress also agreed to elect an 11-member delegation to attend the 7th "Exemplary Veteran" Competition Congress of Dak Lak province for the period 2024-2029.

Commendation certificates were also awarded to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the "Exemplary Veteran" competition movement, 2019-2024 period.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City awarded certificates of commendation to 16 groups and 15 individuals; the City's Veterans Association awarded certificates of commendation to 11 groups and 25 individuals who had outstanding achievements in the "Exemplary Veteran" competition movement, 2019-2024 period.
