On the morning of February 26th, in Buon Ma Thuot City, the organizing committee of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival held a press conference to provide information about the festival. 

This marks the third press conference organized by the committee regarding the festival, following two earlier sessions held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Attending the press conference were Permanent  Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, Nguyen Tuan Ha, Head of the Organizing Committee for the Festival; representatives of relevant departments and sectors, local authorities; sponsors and festival ambassadors; as well as a large number of reporters and journalists from central and local press agencies..

The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025, themed “Buon Ma Thuot - Destination of World Coffee,” will take place from March 9 to March 13, 2025, in Buon Ma Thuot City and several localities within the province.

The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 will feature 17 official activities, incorporating many new and distinct elements compared to the previous eight editions. Notable events include: a digital content creation contest promoting the festival on online platforms; the groundbreaking ceremony for the Trung Nguyen Legend Energy Coffee Factory; a coffee camp themed “Companionship and Sharing” at the historic and cultural site of CADA Plantation, Krong Pak District; the groundbreaking ceremony for the commercial center - hotel - housing complex at 02 Mai Hac De Street, Buon Ma Thuot City; and the groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project on infrastructure construction and business operation for Phu Xuan Industrial Park...

Notably, during the festival's opening ceremony on the night of March 10, 2025, the General Director of the International Coffee Organization (ICO), Vanusia Noguiera, will attend and deliver a welcome speech. This marks the first time that an international figure of such stature will participate in the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, signifying a significant advancement in enhancing Vietnam's coffee status on the world map.

The festival will feature performances by numerous renowned artists and singers. Notably, the opening night will include a 15-minute mid-range fireworks display to celebrate the festival. On the night of March 12, the Light Festival will showcase a drone performance, featuring 500 technological devices flying in the sky.

Currently, Dak Lak Province is hurriedly implementing various activities in preparation for the festival. Information about the festival program is regularly updated and fully published on the Dak Lak Province Electronic Portal ((http://daklak.gov.vn), the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival’s official website ((http://lehoicaphe.vn), and the festival’s Fanpage ((https://www.facebook.com/lehoicaphevn).

In the preparation process for the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025, communication efforts play a crucial role in promoting and introducing the festival. The Organizing Committee has appointed Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 and Top 5 Miss Universe 2018 H’Hen Nie, along with Miss Tourism Ambassador Vietnam 2024 Dinh Thi Hoa, as Media Ambassadors for the event. Additionally, a team of media professionals and content creators from various social media platforms has been invited to serve in communication roles, contributing to promoting the rich cultural heritage of Dak Lak to domestic and international visitors.

At the press conference, the Organizing Committee answered reporters' inquiries related to the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025, such as: specific new and outstanding features attracting tourists in the Buon Don Elephant Festival; solutions for the sustainable development of the coffee industry; the export activities of specialty Cascara coffee husks to the South Korean market by 2/9 Dak Lak Import-Export Co., Ltd (Simexco Daklak); promotional activities for Buon Ma Thuot Coffee globally in the upcoming period by the festival's communication ambassadors; measures for ensuring security, sanitation, and hygiene as well as guaranteeing accommodation facilities do not raise prices during the festival; positive and effective solutions to enhance the value of coffee products and increase the income of coffee farmers; and ensuring safety during drone display activities at the Light Festival.

Concerns raised by the media were fully addressed by representatives of the festival's organizing committee, as well as leaders from various departments, sectors, and businesses, to ensure widespread communication to the public and tourists both domestically and internationally. 

Speaking at the press conference, Permanent  Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, Nguyen Tuan Ha, emphasized that the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 is a significant trade promotion activity, providing a valuable opportunity for managers and businesses to meet and collaborate with international partners, thereby enhancing the promotion of the Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand, attracting investments, facilitating trade connections, boosting tourism, and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of coffee, as well as the potential and advantages of the province, creating an image of a dynamic, friendly, polite, and hospitable Dak Lak.

To disseminate information about the festival to the public and visitors both domestically and internationally, the Organizing Committee hopes to receive attention, cooperation, and support from media and press agencies in promoting and spreading the values, messages, and contents of the festival's programs and activities, ensuring that the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 takes place successfully and leaves a positive impression on the people and tourists. 

The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 is a practical event to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Victory of Buon Ma Thuot and the liberation of Dak Lak province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025). This is also an important event that contributes to promoting the Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand, establishing Buon Ma Thuot City as the "Coffee City of the World," enhancing the position of the Vietnamese coffee industry on the international stage, and facilitating the socio-economic and tourism development of Dak Lak province.
