On October 17th, the 9th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union officially commenced. The congress was attended and directed by Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, Nguyen Xuan Hieu. The provincial leadership was represented by comrades Pham Ngoc Nghi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; H' Lim Nie - Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Phu Hung - Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; as well as leaders of departments, committees, and sectors, along with official delegates representing over 494,000 members and youth in the province.

In his speech directing the congress, Vice President Nguyen Xuan Hieu acknowledged and praised the achievements that the officials, members, and youth of Dak Lak province had accomplished during the 2019 - 2024 term. He also proposed that the provincial youth union continue to effectively implement the "I love my homeland" movement with specific and appropriate solutions that align with the socio-economic development and legitimate needs of the youth. This includes innovating the content and methods of union activities, with a focus on digital transformation and organizing activities that create an environment for members and youth to propose initiatives and apply technology to practical production. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of expanding the unity front and gathering the youth, as well as enhancing the role of the youth in various fields to further develop the youth union and movement in Dak Lak province.

Comrade Pham Ngoc Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highlighted that the Party and government in the province have always paid attention to youth work and created conditions for the provincial youth movement to thrive. Comrade Pham Ngoc Nghi expressed confidence and expectations that the work of the youth union and movement in the new term will make even stronger and comprehensive progress. Together with the Party, government, and people of all ethnic groups in the province, they will successfully achieve the goals and tasks set forth in the resolutions of the provincial Party Committee Congress, contributing to building a prosperous and civilized homeland in Dak Lak.

With the slogan "Youth of Dak Lak province: Love the country - Unity - Creativity - Volunteerism - Identity - Development," the congress discussed and approved the targets for the 2024 - 2029 term, including supporting 400,000 members and youth to participate in volunteer activities organized by the union at all levels; supporting 80 innovative startup projects by youth, connecting them with businesses, venture capital funds, or appropriate financial support; providing 240,000 youth with access to activities that enhance their digital skills; providing career counseling and job referrals to 20,000 youth; and developing 80,000 new members.

The committee consists of 44 members, and 18 delegates were elected to attend the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union. Comrade Y Le Pas Tor, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province in the 8th term, was entrusted with the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province in the 9th term, 2024 - 2029.

During this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union awarded two units with the Emulation Flag, and commendations were given to four collectives and thirteen individuals. The Provincial People's Committee also awarded commendations to five collectives and four individuals, while the Provincial Youth Union awarded commendations to seven collectives and eighteen individuals for their outstanding achievements in youth union and movement work.
