The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak Province and Buon Ma Thuot Airport signed a Memorandum of Understanding on stepping up tourism promotion activities and opening flights to Dak Lak Province in the period 2021- 2025.

Accordingly, the two parties undertook to implement cooperation contents, including cooperating in promotion of flight routes to Dak Lak Province and cooperating in promotion of Dak Lak Province’s tourist attractions.

With regard to the promotion of flight routes to Dak Lak Province, the two parties jointly study policies of the State on tourism management and development, coordinate in making proposals on supporting airlines with new flight routes to Buon Ma Thuot City to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and relevant agencies, coordinate in encouraging and supporting airlines which wish to operate flight routes in Buon Ma Thuot City by providing them with necessary information and administrative procedures, and actively cooperate with potential airlines to open direct flights to  Buon Ma Thuot City from key markets according to the Dak Lak Province‘s tourism promotion plan.

With regard to the promotion of Dak Lak Province’s tourist attractions, the two parties cooperate, agree and propose activities to promote Dak Lak Province‘s tourism, support completing procedures and arranging suitable waiting rooms for the provincial delegations and enterprises who participate in domestic and foreign promotion and advertising programs, linking electronic information between the web of Buon Ma Thuot Airport and the web of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak Province, support promoting Dak Lak Province’s tourism in term of media, promote publications and documents about Dak Lak tourism on flights of Vietnam Airlines, coordinate in organizing domestic and international events to promote Dak Lak Province’s tourism, and support enterprises and investors who are interested in tourism investment in Dak Lak Province.

The cooperation aims to contribute to promoting the potential strengths and advantages of Dak Lak Province's tourism. Cooperation activities need to be effectively, practically, and economically carried out on right objects, actively contribute to promoting the image of Dak Lak tourism domestically and internationally, and provide useful information for visitors to Dak Lak Province.
