Afternoon of June 1st, the working delegation of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations - Ministry of Planning and Investment, led by Mr. Pham Hoang Mai, Director General of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations, had a meeting with the People's Committee of Buon Ho Town to discuss the progress of constructing the Urban Wastewater Collection and Treatment System in Buon Ho Town (KOICA project).

According to the report at the meeting, the People's Committee of Buon Ho Town stated that after a period of surveying and working locally, the KOICA working group and the People's Committee of Buon Ho Town have agreed on the scale and investment capital for the project: Constructing the Urban Wastewater Collection and Treatment System in Buon Ho Town, Dak Lak Province, Vietnam (Phase 2025-2028).
Accordingly, the project has a capacity of 1,500m³/day and night; meeting the needs of about 2,900 households; the length of the wastewater collection and transmission pipeline is 30 km; there are 6 intermediate pumping stations and 1 wastewater treatment plant. The total investment is USD 9,960,000; of which KOICA's non-refundable aid is USD 9,200,000, the remainder being the counterpart fund from Dak Lak Province. According to the information shared by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam, the project dossier has been approved by KOICA to be submitted to the Korean National Assembly for approval.

At the meeting, Mr. Dang Gia Duan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Ho Town, affirmed that the locality is always ready and prepared with the necessary conditions such as site clearance and other related tasks. He also proposed that the Department of Foreign Economic Relations - Ministry of Planning and Investment pay attention and support Buon Ho Town in quickly completing the related legal procedures when the project is approved by the Korean National Assembly, so that the People's Committee of Buon Ho Town can proceed with the project according to the set plan, helping the locality meet the criteria of a Grade III urban area.

In his speech at the meeting, Mr. Pham Hoang Mai, Director General of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations, and other members of the working delegation also highly appreciated the role of the People's Committee in accelerating the implementation process of the Urban Wastewater Collection and Treatment System project in the locality. At the same time, he noted that the leadership of the People's Committee needs to pay attention to implementing related processes and administrative procedures. The Department of Foreign Economic Relations always accompanies and supports the locality so that the project can soon be implemented and be effective.
