On the morning of December 13, the People’s Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City held a conference to listen to opinions, contributions, and address suggestions as well as propose solutions to overcome difficulties for entrepreneurs and businesses, aiming to promote socio-economic development in the city.

The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Huu Viet, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Buon Ma Thuot; Mr. Vu Van Hung, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City; Mr. Tran Duc Nhat, Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, along with representatives of leaders from departments, committees, localities, and more than 50 business representatives and investors associated with the Business Association of Buon Ma Thuot City.

At the dialogue session, Mr. Vu Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, provided information to entrepreneurs about the socio-economic development in the city.
Over the past two years of implementing Conclusion No. 67-KL/TW of the Politburo, significant results have been achieved. The urban area has developed quite rapidly, and urban development projects, funded by the budget and society, have been expanded and restructured, closely linked with infrastructure improvement and social infrastructure.
Currently, the entire city has 6,640 active businesses with a registered charter capital of 88.687 trillion VND, accounting for 55% of the total businesses operating in the province. Business, production, trade, and service activities are stable, meeting the societal demands; agricultural production ensures planned targets; the economic structure is shifting in the right direction, with an increase in the proportion of trade and services and industry-construction, gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture. Important economic indicators have increased compared to 2022.
However, most businesses in the city currently have small scales and lack investment capital for production and business. The number of businesses engaged in import and export activities is still low. Although new businesses are increasing, the rate of businesses ceasing operations or dissolution is also high.

The businesses proposed that the city significantly enhance the business environment, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development
During the conference, functional units engaged in direct, frank dialogue, exchanging ideas, and discussing solutions to remove obstacles and support businesses to operate more efficiently in the coming time. Through this dialogue session, the People's Committee of the city hopes that businesses will boldly propose solutions and suggestions to help the city further improve the business environment, contributing to the promotion of the socio-economic development.
In the spirit of openness and frankness, the conference welcomed 10 opinions from businesses and association contributions related to issues such as land policy, traffic congestion on certain roads, waste pollution in residential areas along Amajao - Hung Vuong street, and noise pollution in urban areas. Some businesses also suggested that Buon Ma Thuot City pay more attention to fostering entrepreneurship, improve the quality of tourism activities, especially eco-tourism and home stays, develop OCOP products, and formulate policies for small and medium-sized enterprises in the city.
Based on the opinions and recommendations of businesses, Mr. Vu Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, requested local departments to respond clearly, addressing the central issues. Resolve problems immediately where possible and provide reasonable explanations for issues that cannot be resolved, pinpointing the obstacles so that relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals can collaborate to find solutions.

Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot People’s Committee, Vu Van Hung, speaking at the conference
Chairman of the People’s Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, Vu Van Hung, stated in his concluding speech at the conference that the overall achievements in the socio-economic development of the city have been significantly contributed by the business community and entrepreneurial groups.
Acknowledging the current challenges faced by businesses, Chairman Vu Van Hung emphasized that today’s dialogue conference provides an opportunity for the city, especially its departments and units, to directly listen to the recommendations, reflections, and proposals of businesses. This collective effort aims to address difficulties and provide timely guidance and solutions. The city’s leadership also looks forward to continued candid feedback in the future, fostering a connection between the government and businesses in seeking opportunities, dialogue, collaboration, and innovative solutions to encourage and attract investments into production and business activities. Together, they aspire to build and develop Buon Ma Thuot City as a bright, green, clean, beautiful, smart, and distinctive urban center.
