On the morning of February 25, the Provincial People’s Committee hosted a working session with a delegation from the non-governmental organizations DID and SOCODEVI (Canada) regarding the cooperation plan for implementing the project "Biodiversity and Livelihood Opportunities for Ethnic Minority Women for the period 2025-2030" (referred to as the BLOOM Project) in Dak Lak Province. Attendees included Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and representatives from relevant departments and units..

During the meeting, representatives from SOCODEVI and DID informed that the BLOOM Project is being cooperatively implemented with funding from the Government of Canada. According to the plan, the project will be carried out in two provinces, Dak Lak and Ha Giang, focusing on the conservation of natural habitats and native flora and fauna while also supporting the local community, such as empowering ethnic minority women and helping the community adapt to climate change based on local needs. The project aims to provide direct support to 5,000 people and indirect support to 25,000 people for better adaptation to climate change; beneficiaries will receive technical assistance and production support or will benefit from the conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity in protected areas.
