On the morning of May 22nd, the Foundation for Amenity Development (FAD) led by Ms. Lee Seon Hee, an official in charge of Vietnam cooperation, held a working session with the Provincial People's Committee to exchange and discuss proposals for cooperation in various fields.

Attending and working with FAD were Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Deputy Permanent Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments and related sectors.
During the working session, FAD exchanged discussions with provincial leaders about the potential for cooperation in economic, industrial, tourism, cultural, artistic, educational, infrastructure development, rural labor, local specialty products of both countries, and the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two sides.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed joy that the Foundation for Amenity Development from South Korea visited Dak Lak province to expand cooperation channels between Vietnam and South Korea. In the future, it is proposed that the Foundation will pay attention and conduct surveys to build cooperation programs in areas suitable for practical needs. Support the province in seasonal labor, human resource training; create conditions for the province to receive ODA-funded projects, FDI investment in agriculture, industry, trade, services, health, education, transportation, and urban infrastructure,... Thereby contributing to further promoting the beautiful cooperation bridge between Vietnam and South Korea in the future.

Deputy Permanent Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha affirmed that Dak Lak province always welcomes Korean localities, organizations, and businesses to explore cooperation and business opportunities, especially in areas that the province is interested in such as: trade, tourism, culture, education, health, infrastructure development, seasonal agricultural labor,... To prepare for the signing, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Foreign Affairs to coordinate with FAD to continue to exchange and study proposals for cooperation in key areas, towards drafting a Memorandum of Understanding suitable for the province's foreign relations development direction.

Within the framework of the working session, departments and units directly shared more detailed information about the potential, strengths, preferential policies, and investment attraction of the province as well as priority orientations in calling for investment and cooperation of the province in the coming time.

Accordingly, South Korea is one of the countries that Dak Lak province is aiming to enhance cooperation with. The province has 3 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects implemented by Korean investors with a total registered capital of about USD 2,128 million; 3 official development assistance (ODA) projects supported by KOICA with a total investment of about USD 4,134 million; 25 non-refundable aid items not under official development assistance supported by Korean agencies and organizations with a total value of about USD 0.8 million.
