The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Dinh Trung, held a meeting with the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts. (10/12/2024, 10:45)

On December 4, Central Party Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung held a working session with the provincial Literature and Arts Association to review the activities for the year 2024 and outline tasks for 2025.

Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung commended the efforts and contributions of the artists and the Literature and Arts Association in recent times.

The report presented at the meeting indicated that the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association currently has 238 members who are active in nine sub-associations. In 2024, the Association has adopted specific and practical programs and plans to encourage artists to engage in creation and promote artistic works. The Association will organize three creative camps and more than 20 practical sessions for various specialties, as well as conduct training courses to enhance members' creative skills. Additionally, the Association has organized an Art Photography Contest and Exhibition to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Dak Lak Province's establishment, themed "Dak Lak - Convergence and Identity".

The organizing committee received 877 competition entries from 116 authors across 30 provinces and cities nationwide. In response to the Creative Award for promoting literary, artistic, and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and Following the Ideology, Ethics, and Style of Ho Chi Minh" for the period 2023 – 2025, 81 works from 40 authors participated. Alongside professional activities, the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association also focuses on charitable activities, social welfare, and partnership programs...  

Leaders from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department contributed their opinions during the meeting.

During discussions, President Nie Thanh Mai suggested that the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee direct relevant agencies to coordinate in developing a plan for cultural and artistic development in the new phase, especially concerning ethnic minority themes. She expressed her hope that the Provincial Party Secretary and the Standing Committee would continue to support the Association in terms of spirit, funding, and transportation to allow artists to further their efforts in creating and promoting quality works, particularly in deep-lying, remote, and border areas.

Leaders of the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association presented the artwork "The Last Hunter" by artist Ly Hoang Long to the Provincial Secretary.

They also gifted an artistic painting by artist Tran Thanh Long to the Provincial Party Office.

In his remarks, Central Party Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung acknowledged and appreciated the achievements of the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association in 2024. He expressed his hope that in the upcoming period, the Association and its artists would continue to focus on creation and contribute quality works of high artistic value, thereby aiding in the construction of a rich and civilized homeland. He emphasized the necessity for the production of more artistic works that preserve and promote the traditional culture of the Central Highlands region in general and Dak Lak people in particular, urging greater unity to fulfill all tasks effectively.

 

The Provincial Party Secretary highlighted that the year 2025 holds special significance with various important events for the country and the province, including the Party Congress at all levels, the next provincial Party Congress leading to the 14th National Party Congress; the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Buon Ma Thuot victory - the liberation of Dak Lak Province, and numerous other national commemorative days….

To leverage the achieved results, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee urged the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts to continue fostering unity and innovation to enhance the quality of their activities. He emphasized the importance of collaborating with relevant sectors to organize timely and meaningful events that meet the local political mission's requirements as well as the public's demand for literature and arts appreciation. Special attention should be given to cultivating and improving professional expertise and political awareness to maximize the intellectual and creative capacities of artists. The Association should also have a voice in collaboration with provincial sectors in constructing the province's artistic projects.

On this occasion, the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts presented the Secretary with literary and artistic works by artists who have achieved high accolades at domestic and international competitions and exhibitions.
