Training Program on New Rural Development Knowledge for Youth Union Officials at All Levels. (10/12/2024, 11:01)

On the morning of December 4th, the Office for Coordination of New Rural Development in Dak Lak province, in collaboration with the Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union, organized the opening ceremony of a training program aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and professional competence of Youth Union officials involved in New Rural Development at various levels for the year 2024.

The training program will take place over four days, from December 4th to December 7th, 2024, for the secretaries and deputy secretaries of Youth Unions at the district level, as well as Youth Union officials at the commune level.

During this training session, participants will be introduced to and guided through the fundamental aspects of New Rural Development for the period 2021-2025 through specialized topics, including: the national criteria for New Rural Development at all levels, the assessment, recognition, and revocation of New Rural Development status for the period 2021-2025; maintaining security and safety for rural areas; the roles and essential qualities of residents in New Rural Development; as well as skills for propaganda and mobilizing the implementation of the overarching program.

The objective of this training session is to enhance awareness, knowledge, professional qualifications, management capabilities, operational skills, and the execution abilities of New Rural Development officials at all levels, as well as officials within the political system, thereby creating a capable workforce to effectively implement the National Target Program for New Rural Development.

 

According to the assessment by the Provincial New Rural Development Office, after over 13 years of implementation, the New Rural Development Program in the province has achieved notable successes, leading to a more spacious, bright, green, clean, and beautiful rural landscape, progressively linking comprehensive rural development with the restructuring and innovation of growth models in the agricultural sector, significantly influencing the material and spiritual lives of residents, and establishing political and social stability.

In terms of results, as of now, the province has completed the requirements for 75 out of 149 communes, achieving 92.94% of the 2024 plan; 5 communes have been recognized as enhanced New Rural Development communes, reaching 62.5% of the 2024 plan; one district-level unit, Buon Ma Thuot City, has completed its New Rural Development mission and was officially recognized by the Prime Minister through Decision No. 770/QD-TTg dated June 24, 2022. The province has fulfilled 2,440 out of 2,869 criteria (equivalent to 85.04%); with an average of 16.16 criteria per commune (the goal being 16 criteria per commune), achieving 101% of the 2024 plan.

 

As of November 30, 2024, Dak Lak province has recognized a total of 248 OCOP products achieving 3 to 4-star ratings, including 3 potential 5-star products, 42 products rated 4 stars, and 203 products rated 3 stars. Products achieving 4 stars have the potential to be further improved and standardized to meet the quality criteria for 5-star recognition (at the national level) to participate in the international market, such as coffee, cacao, and macadamia nuts…
