On June 7th, Regiment 584 (Dak Lak Provincial Military Command) held the Victory Emulation Congress for the 2019-2024 period.

Regiment 584 was established on March 10, 1993, inheriting the tradition of Regiment 84 from the resistance war against French colonialists. Building on the spirit of patriotic emulation and victory emulation of previous generations, the emulation movement of the Regiment developed with various rich and comprehensive innovations during the 2019-2024 period.

Over the past five years, the Regiment has organized 12 campaigns for 2,000 officers and soldiers to combine field training with civil affairs, contributing over 7,000 working days to help the people. They organized five campaigns for 400 officers and soldiers to celebrate the Lunar New Year with ethnic minorities. Additionally, the Regiment held 20 cultural and sports exchanges, free haircuts, and visits to give gifts to families in difficult situations. The Regiment was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for outstanding achievements in the “Skillful Civil Affairs” emulation movement for the 2015-2020 period.

Through the emulation movements, many effective new models and methods have emerged in the Regiment, such as "Saving Allowances for Future Career," "New Recruits' Imprint," "Soldiers' Club," "Youth Flower Path," "Women Helping Each Other Overcome Difficulties," and "Field Water Bowl, Soldiers' Comfort."

Alongside training and combat readiness, the Regiment vigorously implemented the policy of "4 Together - 4 Grasp - 4 Proactive - 4 Accompany," focusing on building regularity and discipline compliance; creating a "bright, green, clean, and beautiful" barracks; planting 1,250 new trees and greening over 1.7 hectares. The unit promoted the emulation of "innovation, improvement of training models"; investing over 70,000 working days to build 14 new training grounds, consolidate 36 training grounds, and create over 1,200 various targets and training models.

In response to the emulation movements, over the past five years, officers and soldiers of the Regiment have actively participated in models such as "Military-Civilian Road," "Eradicating Hunger, Reducing Poverty," and "Bringing Electricity to Village Roads"; contributing over 3,500 working days to build cultural works, inter-village roads, and dredge irrigation canals. In the past five years, the Regiment has had 232 collective and 200 individual commendations from the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 5, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Military Command.

Building on the achieved results, in the 2024-2029 period, officers and soldiers of the Regiment will focus on studying, working, training, and promoting the emulation movement to a peak of revolutionary action, continuing to achieve new accomplishments; continuing to emulate building a strong unit in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization, and personnel; striving to excel in political tasks, effectively implementing breakthroughs and key emulation activities; aiming for 100% of officers and soldiers to have a profound understanding of the tasks, targets, and training programs; continuing to uphold the essence and tradition of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers," fostering solidarity with the people, and actively participating in movements such as "Gratitude," "Sustainable Poverty Reduction," and "Armed Forces Join Hands to Build New Countryside."

On this occasion, Regiment 584 awarded Certificates of Merit to three collectives and seven individuals for their outstanding achievements in the victory emulation movement for the 2019-2024 period.
