Therefore, the Department continues to coordinate with the Competition Management Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to effectively operate the Consumer Consultation and Support Hotline, especially the online reception channel..

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, to prepare for the implementation of the amended Consumer Rights Protection Law effective from July 1, 2024, businesses need to enhance the effectiveness of production and business activities associated with consumer rights protection responsibilities; Actively respond promptly and fully meet the requirements and desires of consumers as a driving force for development, the competitive advantage of enterprises in the market.

Organizing customer appreciation programs or promotional programs for consumers to access, purchase quality products, and services at reasonable prices.

All supermarkets deploy sales through digital platforms, accompanied by many preferential policies for customers to easily choose shopping.

Along with localities nationwide, the Ministry of Industry and Trade calls, encourages the participation of state agencies, social organizations, enterprises, and consumers in related activities. Step by step turning Vietnam Consumer Rights Day into a driving force and important highlight in economic - social life, supporting the business activities of genuine manufacturing and business enterprises, while ensuring the basic rights of consumers, especially the right to access transparent and safe information.

Statistics from the Consumer Rights Protection Association of Dak Lak show that the situation of commercial fraud, violations of the quality of goods and services in various sectors still exists and directly affects consumers.

In 2023 alone, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade conducted 10 inspections, examinations of 63 units, chaired 03 inter-sectoral inspections on food safety and hygiene for 29 units. The results showed that 26 organizations, individuals violated (including 08 organizations in the petroleum sector; 06 organizations, individuals violated in food safety and hygiene, and 07 organizations, individuals violated in electricity). The Market Management Department has also handled 712 cases with 879 violations in various fields.
