From June 25th to July 1st, the working delegation of the Dak Lak Province Women's Union visited and worked with the Women's Unions of the provinces of Attapeu, Sekong, Salavan, and Champasak (four provinces in Southern Laos) - Lao People's Democratic Republic.
As part of the program, the delegation from the Dak Lak Province Women's Union visited and exchanged greetings with the leadership of Champasak Provincial Party Committee. They met and worked with Mr. ALun xay Soun Na Lat - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Chairman of Champasak Province, along with leaders of departments and sectors of Champasak Province.

On behalf of the delegation from Dak Lak Province Women's Union, Ms. To Thi Tam - Provincial Party Committee member and Chairwoman of Dak Lak Province Women's Union, expressed joy at the warm reception from the provincial leadership. She also reported on the cooperation results between the women of the four Southern Laos provinces and the Dak Lak Province Women's Union in the past period.
She affirmed that the cooperation between the women's unions of the two countries has yielded many positive outcomes in gender equality advocacy, crime prevention, social evils prevention, domestic violence prevention, anti-human trafficking efforts, ensuring security and order in the border areas of Vietnam and Laos, contributing to enhancing the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, bringing practical benefits to the people and women of both countries.

In his speech at the greeting session, Mr. ALun xay Soun Na Lat - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Chairman of Champasak Province extended wishes for health, happiness, and success to the delegation of Dak Lak Province Women's Union. He emphasized that the special traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, two states, and the people of Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Dak Lak Province and the provinces of Attapeu, Sekong, Salavan, and Champasak in particular, have been continuously strengthened, enhanced, and strongly developed.

During this visit and working program, the Dak Lak Province Women's Union and the Women's Unions of the four Southern Laos provinces organized a conference to review the mid-term implementation of the "Cooperation Agreement for Peaceful Development" between the Dak Lak Province Women's Union and the Women's Unions of the four Southern Laos provinces for the period 2022 - 2027, to evaluate the cooperation results between the Women's Unions of these provinces.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and sharing experiences in political and ideological propaganda work, strengthening and developing union organizations, protecting the rights of women and children, vocational training and employment, participation in Party and government building, sharing experiences in building effective models, activities of women in border areas, and presented livelihood models to poor women in the four Southern Laos provinces.
