On the afternoon of December 22, Provincial Executive Party Committee had a working session with former Vice President Truong My Hoa, Chairman of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund; General Director of VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) Rad Kivette and General Director of VinaCapital Group Don Lam.
Receiving the delegation were Mr. Bui Van Cuong, member of CPV Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Pham Ngoc Nghi, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of related departments, agencies.

VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) is a non-profit organization registered in the US and operating in Vietnam with the aim of supporting economic development, empowering the children and women of Vietnam through health and education programs.
Over the past years, VCF in coordination with Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund award scholarships to ethnic minority students and implement the "Heartbeat of Vietnam" program to support children with congenital heart disease. Since 2006, USD500,000 have been sponsored to award scholarships to children with congenital heart disease in Dak Lak.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Don Lam, General Director of VinaCapital Group said that Dak Lak has a potential matching with VCF’s investment objectives in renewable energy. In addition, the delegation will learn about the mechanism and procedures for project implementation in the province.
At the meeting, Mr. Bui Van Cuong thanked Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, VCF Group and VinaCapital Foundation for their activities to support welfare and education; learning about investment opportunities in the province. Thereby, provincial leaders briefed basic information about potentials, strengths and investment opportunities in all fields in the province, including renewable energy.

Renewable energy belongs to the list of projects calling for investment of the province, Bui Van Cuong said. Therefore, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Planning and Investment should pay attention to and create favorable conditions for investors when making surveys, researches.

Mrs. Truong My Hoa - former Vice President, President of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Head of 'For beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa' club (Club) said “Over the past years, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has become a source of spiritual support for ethnic students nationwide to overcome difficulties and pursue education.”
The Fund not only supports and enhances the realization of their dreams, but also provides a real fulcrum for the children. In the coming time, the Fund will continue to campaign and hope to receive support from organizations and philanthropists to better care and nurture the children.”
For many years, the projects under Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund continue to be supported by organizations, individuals and businesses. Accordingly, nearly 50 collectives and individuals signed to sponsor the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club with the amount of more than VND53 billion to contribute to investment in human resources in ethnic minority regions, seas and islands of the country. In 2020, supported by donors, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has directly awarded 5,000 scholarships to ethnic minority students.
In addition, the "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club gave 200 water tanks to people in the areas hit by saltwater intrusion in Tien Giang province; donated basic necessities to the concentrated isolation areas for cases suspected of being infected Covid-19. The Club also organized two relief trips to support flood-hit people in the central provinces and awarded more than 1,200 scholarships to ethnic minority students and islands, children of officers and soldiers of the Region 2 of the Vietnam Coast Guard High Command, Region 3 of the Vietnam Coast Guard High Command, the Navy Region 4, Fishery Squadron No. 3, Border Guard Force in Ly Son Island (Quang Ngai province), Khanh Hoa ...
With an aim of fostering and developing young human resources for seas, islands and ethnic minorities, the Fund has awarded thousands of scholarships to students of ethnic minorities nationwide over the past twenty years. In addition, the Fund also takes advantage of social resources to support for ethnic minority students such as introducing ethnic minority students graduating grade 12 into vocational training centers.
The Fund has been at the forefront in caring for and nurturing children and students of ethnic minorities in remote and isolated areas. Projects such as "Nurturing the future", "Giving wings to your dreams", "Opening paths to the future" ... achieved good results.
