Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie’s visits her homeland (26/01/2018, 10:22)
After being crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 more than half a month (Miss Universe), H'Hen Nie returned her homeland and carried out charity activities in Dak Lak province on the afternoon of January 22nd.

Dak Lak people are eager to welcome newly crowned Miss Universe at the airport

After leaving Buon Ma Thuot airport, Miss H’Hen Nie came to Dak Lak provincial People's Committee to greet provincial leaders and receive the provinvial Certificate of Merit. At the meeting, leaders of Dak Lak province sent greetings to newly crowned Miss Universe. In addition, the leaders granted a Certificate of Merit and the total amount of VND30 million to encourage her efforts in bringing honor to the province.

Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presents the Miss Universe a traditional long house model of the Ede people and wish her preserve the cultural identity.

Miss Universe Vietnam H'Hen Nien was born and grown up in Sut M'Dung village (Cu Sue commune, Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province). Due to the difficult economic situation, H'Hen had both learned the general education program and assisted families by picking coffee and raising cattles in order to cover their lives. Therefore, her family had encouraged H'Hen leaving school and getting married like many local girls; however, H'Hen Nie had firmly refused. After graduating from high school, H'Hen had studied in Ho Chi Minh City's College of Foreign Economic Relations and worked part-time jobs to help pay for college expenses. After winning the crown of Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, H'Hen Nie is the common pride of Ede people as well as her homeland. H’Hen Nie’s parent and many local people welcomed her in a joyful and eager atmosphere at Buon Ma Thuot airport.

During two days in Dak Lak, H'Hen Nie participated in many activities with local people, visited her old schools, and especially visited her parent after a long period of time at her new position.
