On the morning of July 12th, the 6th Session of the 10th Provincial People's Council, Term 2021-2026, officially commenced.

The opening ceremony was attended by Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, as well as leaders of departments, agencies, localities in the province, and the delegates of the 10th Provincial People's Council, Term 2021-2026.

In her opening speech, Chairwoman Huynh Thi Chien Hoa emphasized that in the first six months of 2023, with high determination and the active participation of the entire political system, under the close leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the supervision and companionship of the Provincial People's Council, and the flexible management of the Provincial People's Committee, especially the efforts of departments, agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, armed forces, and localities, with the support and trust of the people and the business community, Đắk Lắk province has comprehensively and timely implemented political tasks according to the resolutions of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council for the year 2023 and has achieved significant results.

Specifically, the socio-economic situation has continued to maintain stability and development, with several indicators meeting and exceeding the set plans. Key projects and infrastructure works, such as the Buon Ma Thuot - Khanh Hoa expressway, have started construction. The development plan for Buon Ma Thuot city and Đắk Lắk province until 2030, with a vision towards 2045, has been focused on implementation. The prevention and control of human, plant, and animal diseases have been under control. Social welfare activities have received attention. Cultural, artistic, and sports activities have been vibrant, meeting the spiritual needs of the people. The timely and resolute handling of security and order incidents has been directed.

During this session, the Provincial People's Council will review reports from its Standing Committee, Committees of the People's Council, People's Court, People's Procuracy, and the Civil Enforcement Agency of the province on the activities in the first six months of 2023. The results of the socio-economic development and national defense and security tasks in the first six months of 2023 will be evaluated. Reports on crime and law violations in the province, anti-corruption efforts, and complaint resolution in the first six months of 2023 will be reviewed. The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will report on its participation in building the government. Discussions will be held in groups and in the plenary session.

In addition, the Provincial People's Council will discuss and vote on 16 draft resolutions related to economic, public investment, financial, and state budget matters; national target programs; social issues; public servant positions; and related support policies. The results of the specialized supervisions by the Provincial People's Council in 2023 and the supervisory program for 2024 will be reviewed.

Chairwoman Huynh Thi Chien Hoa requested the delegates of the Provincial People's Council to have a strong sense of responsibility, utilize their intelligence, focus on democratic discussions, actively contribute opinions on the agenda items, and contribute to the success of the session to meet the expectations and trust of voters and the people of ethnic groups in the province.
